Al Sha’ab Theatre is actually Al Sha’ab Cinema, located on the Gulf Road (in Al Sha’ab Park). The event will start at 7:30 sharp, and all attendees have been advised to show up early so that they can get seats and we can get the show started on time. It will last approximately for an hour and a half, and the movie genres range from drama and social issues to comedies.

Its cool to see that jordanian short films are playing outside jordan. Over the past two years a small independent movement has emerged, and a number of short films have surfaced in a country which never had a film industry. As pro or amateur as these films may be, i see them as a step in the path of a film industry. Watch out for “Suffi Suffi” an improvised comedy which was a hit in amman last summer, it talks about a girl attempting to park her car in amman. Plus it was a short i editied in L.A.
