KDD now cheaper!
According to SomeContrast KDD have started dropping their prices. Is this because oil has dropped down in price, the economic situation, loss of business or something else? [Link]

14. gargoyle | November 10th, 2008 at 10:37 am
loss of business, in the next month or 2 you can expect soda (coke and pepsi) to drop back as well.
15. Ms.Baker | November 10th, 2008 at 11:19 am
Supposedly its a reaction to the loss of business to Saudi products which are cheaper and far superior in quality.
16. Tweego | November 10th, 2008 at 11:26 am
the prices of all kind of commodity dropped around the world
milk dropped around 40% and that is why KDD is dropping prices
anyway prices generally should drop in cars, plane tickets, pretty much everything in the next 6 month

Well Kuwaities got what they wanted, inflation is going down, but at the cost of the whole financial system. Idiots. And then you blame the government for everything.
Let me ask this:
Inflation or financial crisis? Which one would you rather have?

I just saw a flier that was put in our KDD box last night. Not just milk, even 250ml juices are way cheaper.
Choc Milk, was 150, now 110
Mango Juice, was 150, now 90…!
Also, they have some scratch and win promo going on as well.

Can someone answer me, how do they do price the products. I mean when they drop the price from 900 Files down to 695 Flies,,, why the 95 Files why not 600, i mean do they have a methodology into it?
21. Nand | November 10th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
Between 695 and 700 there is something called a psycholigical barrier.
I am wondering where our economics scholar “Thomas” is?? He can answer the drop in prices ……..hee hee
22. Dave | November 10th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
@ Nand..lol…i actually was wondering for a second which thomas u talkin abt….lol!:D
23. Sid | November 10th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
let me be honest here guys ,,,,
i agree that KDD has become part our lives (mainly who lived in kuwait from ages) and hiking of prices really effected us alot, and now they are coming down of prices …too late for me.
there is another product i started buying, which is 99% close to KDD taste and my kid loves it now, my son was born and brought up in kuwait with KDD now after having AWAL brand from Bahrain, he dose not like KDD anymore … AWAL is cheap also, guess what i buy every month two crates of AWAL with 24 small packets 1/4 ltr of milk and one crate mango juice only for 5.350Fils.
i save more then 2.500KD by not buying KDD any more … and trust me, i dont miss KDD any more.
24. boody | November 10th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
actually, my family bought a bunch of KDD chocolate milk at a cheaper price and it doesnt taste the same. it tastes SO BAD.. like food? ugh it was nasty estaghferallah
25. nyx | November 11th, 2008 at 2:05 am
This could perhaps be the God Forsaken Chinese Milk we have been reading about in the papers…. :D
And I really liked what Tweego had to say about prices normalising again… but… WISHFUL THINKING PAL… ain’t gonna see the light of day (your predictions). Delta Airlines recently started charging $15 per piece of checked in luggage, others are going to follow suit – read Middle East! Aviation Fuel is costing an arm and leg no matter prevailing prices of NY Light or London Brent/ BPD. Subprime crisis will cease to exist in the 2nd quarter of ‘09 – Obama is going save a lot of homeowners’s ass’s plus the banks as well.
Coming to Inlfation or Global Economic Crisis- lets face it – it was basically rumors and hulla ballo over shit which snowballed in a global crisis! God damn those rumor mills who began it all in the first place!
Parting shot: Fuel hike in the first and third quarter of this year was basically an ulterior motive by OPN (Oil Producing Nations) so as to create profits for the coming decades’ predicted losses – ever heard of Hydro technology???
n….!

KDD is the best company and the trully Kuwaiti company, it’s really sad when people attacked the company just because they had Denmark in the company name
but overall it’s really a good company, hope all company follow their policies and plans
Thanks Mark
27. d'fined | November 11th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
Shou had denmark in the name….!!! half the company is danish brain’s…So dont be sad …be happy…=)
28. Anonymous | November 12th, 2008 at 4:21 am
It was established that way, but remember during the prophet cartoon controversy, KDD was trying to prove to everyone that the company is 100% Kuwaiti. They were aided back in the day by the Danish to establish the company.
I love Denmark… they tickle the cows under the armpits so that the milk and dairy products they make are of the highest quality.
29. Saxophone | November 12th, 2008 at 8:49 am
They have reduced the prices for the products they were not able to sell.
KDD Vanilla Milk has no competitor in Market and they have kept the old price only. If the milk price in world market is falling they should have reduced the price of Vanilla Milk also, but this isn’t the case.
In simple, they have started losing their share in market ans trying hard to get it back.
30. Aysha | November 16th, 2008 at 1:55 am
I think the prices are lowering because of the economic situations, or you can say “disasters.”
My moms friend when to buy a whatch from Chopard here in Kuwait, as she approached the sales lady to ask her about the watch, which she was willing to buy the same day, the lady convinced her to wait a month or so cuz they were gonna bring down the prices !!
Id guess that Kuwaiti shoppers are finally awakened into become more aware of their money spending habits!!
31. qwerty | November 16th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
its all old stock, i bought 4 one liter chocolate milk packs just to find one was all curdled , F#$%^$ KDD
32. AbdulKareem | November 18th, 2008 at 6:42 pm
OMG NOW I’M GOING TO THE STORE TO BUY UP ALL THE LOVELY KDD MILK.
THNX MUCH MARK
/sarcasm off :D
Kdd milk tastes like cat milk. Try American milk products, now that’s real milk. Plus, has anyone ever seen a Kuwaiti cow, ROFL! I bet it’s as skinny as an 3agady and just as smelly and nasty too!
