Knet down all over Kuwait?
I had breakfast at Johnny Rockets today and when I came to pay they told me Knet wasn’t working. Now after having lunch at Wasabi I came to pay and they again told me Knet wasn’t working. I am concluding from this that today is not Knet’s best day.
note: I am talking about Knet point of sales not the atm machines.

Had that problem yesterday as well went to pay for a rental and the machine was down in all of Salmiya.

Yep, have been shopping today and no Knet or visa in the mall at all – was not able to use it in any of the shops – has been going on since yesterday. Stopped me from shopping which is not a bad thing!! LOL!!

Im having problem brwosing, Im trying to call qualitynet but all lines are busy. Maybe the Knet problem is linked to the Internet problem. any one is having issues with qualitynet today?

yes that’s was right the K-net was down today and all banks was informed about it

Its down since yesterday, even the credit cards we had to pay for lunch in Euro yesterday !!!

actually Mark yes you are right, it’s been down for a couple of days now, since Thursday.. some places are ok but again, I had a situation with the POS and they deducted like a 100 KD by mistake.. it’s the connection

i had the same experience on TSC in Shuwaikh and i tried to to pull some money out of burgan bank through K-Net services and i failed .. it seems that its down for real !

Its down since yesterday and we LOST good sales cause of that..today it was ok but still at some places they were complaining that its too SLOW…

I used it this evening :) It was down for few days.. KNET must upgrade their network to handel weekend transactions.

even when you withdraw from a knet machine, you might get overcharged twice which happened to me

I think that’s true, because last night I had dinner at Chilis and thay told me that the K-Net is not working, but I went shopping today at around 5 PM and I paid using K-Net.

i have withdrawn KD 200 from a ATM machine.. they charged me twice.. thats 400 KD.. when called and asked they said they have a problem and that they will add it back to my account.. lets just hope so..

It went down bc during the bengali strikes one of kuwaiti managers had to make and bring his own tea but he slipped and the tea fell on the main server and there was no one to clean it LMAO

The K-Net network is handled by Kems…thats why some people also have problems with their internet connection, it seams the bad connection is a result of their
“Knet fee Reduction Campaign”

Yeah .. it happened to my wife at the mowasat hospital yesterday. The Knet wasn’t working , so she had to leave the hospital and find the closest bank to withdraw money!

The official is Zajil (KEMS) who are the main provider for KNET where down for 2 days which effect all KNET point of sale
KNET move some of the banks next day to Qualitynet network to solve the problem.
and all the updates are in Alrai newspaper on Monday 5/8/2008
