the movie should’ve at least had an hour off! the jungle part was taken toooooooo far ! and the dinosaurs running scene sucked…though Trex jaw crackin i like :>

my review copied from my blog:
just went to that crappy movie last night, century cinema @ zara center, we entered inside, theater was full so out lucky tickets were located at the 3rd row on the right side, I have to say that the movie out in theaters now is the Extended Version of the 1933 movie. So many scenes were picked up right out of the original (apple stealing, final scene) I mean come on this movie was good for only a very few reasons. 1-the CGI was very good 2- Jack Black was awesome. Bit It ran Entire Too Long, I can’t even Imagine watching this movie again in Extended Version. I mean I like long films. Matrix, Godfather, Ten Commandments, Braveheart, but they all have one thing in common, They Don’t Draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag and feel like they are 7 days long. Do yourself a favor, go watch a movie, and sneak into the last hour and forty minutes of this movie, that’s all you need. seriously! it’s too long for no reason, yeah! and if u get disgusted easily this movie is not for you, it drags on and on, people appear suddenly from nowhere, it lost it’s identity with too much Jurassic park stuff added to it!!. the movie would have been good if it was shorter but i totally lost interest after the end of the second hour. it’s a movie many people will like, but for people who like their movies logical, it is not great at all. the directing was not good to be fair to peter Jackson he managed to give a computer generated Abe lots of feelings and emotions but the story is terrible, so the final points are :

1- the film is too long, should of Edited at least an hour out and my biggest gripe that spoilt the whole film for me was the paint shop pro method of inserting the humans in with the CGI characters that much money on FX and they still look crap, reminded me of the HULK but in reverse, with the humans looking fake to the environment.

2- the bugs scene was 1 interaction when it worked, but only with the bugs not the slug animal things, they were really terrible.

3- take a pillow for the seat, its not all action from start to finish my bum was asleep before Kong was even seen and fell asleep 2 more times by the end of the film.

4- worth mentioning is Jake Black, if you like him see this film, he was really good in it, made me want to give him a kicking by the end of it, but then again I’d have kicked anyone for the film to finish.

I guess many people will disagree with me but i am just writing my own view about the movie.

I just saw it too, and its the best movie i’ve ever seen my life. In fact, I watched it with Saleem. I’m in Montreal for Winter vacation. Lol.

I just finished watching it a few hours ago, and I loved the fact that Kong wasn’t seen until a while in. It really built up the moment for me. Fantastic movie and I loved it.

I would recommend people arrive an hour and a half late for this movie. Honestly this was the only movie I have ever watched where I was hoping the minisitry would have censored scenes from so the movie becomes shorter.

the guy that did the movement of gollum in lotr also did kong.. i read that somewhere..

i just got back from watching it. and i tottaly agree with u 100%. the only good think is the graphics. it was long, boring, and the plot sucks. for people who will not watch it, you are not missing anything. i really thought this movie is going to be huge in all aspects, if u watch it and dont know its the same director that made lord of the rings, you will sense that in the first hour.

basically it sucks, minus the graphics. if u do watch it: i suggest sitting there untill u see king kong, and then leave….
