According to http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest i usually get a download of 1,350k..nearly 1.4m’s.. and i’m only paying 26kd or 28kd. i like it alot..although has been very slow this past week.

interesting! It seems that Qnet has decided to undercut Kems because they have been winning over customers for the past 6 months!

Since around 2 weeks my qnet connection turned really bad especially with online games, and every time I call them they claim the problem is from my end, which really pisses me off. Its something about their Backbones since apparently they have abandoned the KSA link and only uses UAE one which is causing a heavy traffic on it and bad ping in games. I’m so switching to KEMS (their prices are nice) when my subscription ends.

yeah yeah.. ft,qn, all the same.. it takes me 3 days to download 1 single movie.. it sucks.. Goodluck to all of us.

anyhow, Final Xvid rip of Transformers and Die Hard 4 available for download… 28% and 32.8% to go!

The chart represents price paid and actual speed (not promised speed).

The above results were taken from a large group of Zajil.Qnet and FT subscribers to display realistic speeds.

I did not include UNC because I could not find enough people to make a ‘delivered speed’ chart based on their service.

Good job! I hope we have more consumer protection groups especially for auto businesses. I wonder how this chart will look like for corporate clients.

  13. 13. K.TheKuwaiti | July 16th, 2007 at 2:46 pm

Since corporate rates differ highly based on end clients, usage, deals .. I can not make a equal scale.

However, I highly suggest Zajil in terms of service and cost when it comes to corporate clients.

Zajil has the best technical support in kuwait. No doubt they have the best technical background and support services. The only prob is there prices are on the higher end as they are giving proper services & not like other isp’s where bandwidth aggregation is shared with others. Other aspect is this that Zajil focuses more on corporate customers than individual users like me & others.

OMG! ppl in kuwait are being ripped off by their telcos… i’ve a hunch they are being managed by erstwhile MaBell people…. in india we get a 2MBps (partly unlimited ) connection for 500 rs. (less than 3KD!)… start a riot or something kuwaitis!

I would like to mention that the best DSL service is through Global united network, it a non- professional company at all, their customer service is a failing one, they never gice the correct information. Also, they are thieves, pretend to offer a service while all they care about is their own pocket money. Even if you try to call them or report a complaint, which I have already done, you get no reply from their side, & the mock is that on their website they mentioned that they care about their customers
