Lebanese Vs Lebanese
I just found out there are two Lebanese groups in Kuwait competiting against each other. There is LebaneseInKuwait.com which I had previously heard about and there also seems to be another group called Cool-Lebanese.com. Both sites are competiting to get the biggest chunk of Lebanese in Kuwait and I am guessing here, but judging by the websites, it looks like LIK is winning. Although the Cool-Lebanese site is pretty funny.

LIK website is pretty cool, and it does connect the Lebanese community from what I can see, but the Cool website didnt even work! lol

I think we should have a “Shwarma Off” with competing Leb factions seeing who can eat/complain about the most shwarmas in 60 seconds.

If you’re going to copy something, at least make it as good if not better. Cool-lebanese sucks, although LIK makes me think of Lesbians In Kuwait, but that could be cos it sounds like “lick” when you say it.

I would like to thank you first for listing our website on your blog since more than a year… and would like also to comment on the title of the article you’ve posted today :)… Lebanese Vs Lebanese… actually, we as LIK, we are not versus anyone in Kuwait, we work for all the Leb community here and we try to help and support as much as we can… and since the idea was successful in Kuwait, we started implementing it in the region and we already started in Bahrain (www.lebaneseinbahrain.com) and we will be launching the same concept before the end of this year in KSA and Qatar… and the main hub is http://www.lebaneseingulf.com
To conclude, it is normal that after the success we had throughout the years (since 2002) some groups or individuals will try to do something similar and who knows they might be better than us!

the universal theorey states that anything with the label cool in the name, is by definition, not. :P
[i'm not lebanese, nor am i affiliated with either group so anyone without a sense of humour can put their handbags down :D ]

Dear Mark,
Its always the same for us as Lebanese everywhere… instead of helping each other we always like to compete with each other.
Actually as seen from all the past years and event the LIk was doing great satisfying all the lebanese members with the events and support for all the informations needed, also helping some lebanese to have job opportunities and building some business relation together… Anyway for me i will always support the LIK because they showed a real intrest in helping me (thanks for that) also if they were not strong no one would have the idea to compete them….
Keep up the perfect job.
