Mercedes Benz SUV Experience
I just got back from the Mercedes SUV experience awhile ago. The event is being held near the ice skating rink parking lot.
So I am parking my car and I spot a Mercedes G-Class doing a climb decent. I was thinking wow they actually have the G-Class here. For those of you who don’t know, my favorite SUV is the G-Class and my favorite SUV list actually goes something like this (notice they are all boxy):
1- Mercedes G-Class
2- Land Rover Defender
3- Land Rover LR3
4- Jeep Wrangler
So I get into the main tent and sign up for a ride in the G-Class and then head over to the car. Once I got close I realized this wasn’t the regular G-Class, this was the freakin 500HP AMG version! This was like the motherload. Sadly I wasn’t able to drive the car today because they had professional drivers taking the guests around the track BUT, I was promised by my Mercedes contact that once the event was over and the car cleaned up I would be able to have it for a test drive. When that happens be sure I will post about it here.

its cool car
but the price is little high
the g55 was kd 30.000 in 2004 now it is 37.000

the G remains my favorite 4X4 ever, but as you all know its on the same price range as a 360 Modena or a souped up Porsche.
My next door neighbor has 2 White G 500. I will see if he wants a wireless access point in exchange for a day in his cars.

very nice, but in my opinion its too boxy and you can’t go that fast in it, but its extremely comfortable and the outside doesn’t even depict the inside!

I hated the car a while back for being too boxy, but then I saw Top Gear do a report about it and I just fell in love. If you want to love the car download that Top Gear episode. It’s BEA-utiful.

SaREe3, the G55 back in 2004 had the old E55 355hp engine from year 1998-2001, in 2005 they added a supercharger hence the Kompressor badges on the fenders and its now 476hp which is e55 and CLS55 territory, for 2007 they added a Ecu Flash which bumps it up to 500hp.
