   That wasn’t a Meteor, I saw the same exact thing this afternoon around 5:30 pm … it was a plane flying by. Airplanes, just like cars, release CO2 into the air, that couled with sun raise and the angel its actually in prodecues this bright looking fumes .. just like a rainbow if u will. Happy Eid lol

   i saw it . its a plane with sun light reflection on the smoke of the plane . thats what it is . cause it was sun down time . no body can see a Meteor in day light . not even in night sky with all the street lights . and the speed it was moving also shows that its a plane .

    yup it is a plane….i saw it today aswell…meteors r not visible in sunlight that way….its a plane with the sun reflecting on the gas its releasing

    6 years ago I was driving back from a friend house on I-35 at night when I saw around 6 or 7 pieces falling from the sky with long tails. At first I though I was imagining things because I didn’t sleep well. However, the next day on local news they said it was a Russian Satellite that fallen out of orbit and evaporating before it hit the ground. Anyway, this look like an airplane. The tail behind airplanes is actually water vapor not CO2. Ice form on airplane wings when flying at high altitude and because of air friction it evaporate to gas state before it even turn to liquid creating this long water vapor tail (the only other case where water turn from solid to gas is in dry ice).

    I saw meteors so many times. I also saw a meteorite once while i was out in the desert (a large meteor that survives the atmosphere and impacts the ground with a big flash of light)

    Both meteors and meteorites flash in the sky so quick within a matter of seconds. There’s no way this thing you saw was one. Could be a plane, or…

    That’s definitely a plane passing during sunset, a meteor will never last that much, and if it was the case that means its size is huge and wasn’t disintegrate while entering the atmospher and its impact on earth would have been devastating.

    This is caused by the condensation formed by aircraft jet engines when the atmosphere is heated and the vapors are released on the back to quickly condense in low temperatures. This usually happens when humidity levels are high. So was the case during eid.

    I saw it too, I was looking for the moon, it IS a plane but it has a yellow tail cause of the sunset. I saw it in southsurra at around 5 pm

    Saw it today near Surra at 6 PM and it’s definitely a plane, it’s so slow compared to if it has been a meteor.

    2 years ago on new years.. my girlfriends slept over at my place.. and at around 6 am we were on the roof and we something exactly like what that picture shows.. we didnt know if it was a plane or the end of the world we were seriously freaking out.. it was moving soo slowly.. but in the end we assumed that it was nothing just a plane and that we had been partying too much the night before and just needed some sleep.. Surra was where we saw it too.. aliens maybe :D I have it all on video tape

    Mark, meteor and shooting star are two different terms for the same thing. if you are a scientist its a meteor, but if you are at Disneyland, it’s a shooting star :-P

    and obviously this is a plane not a shooting star.

    Geez guys that’s a simple plane, meteors and I witnessed a few are much faster and disappear in seconds, except if this guy shut it in slomo:)
