Mishref Protest

There is going to be a protest tomorrow (Monday) at 4PM in Mishref to raise awareness about the whole issue with the sewage plant problems and the construction that’s taking forever. The protest which will be more of a walkathon will take place near the sewage plant on the side of the 6th ring road in Mishref. Everyone is invited.

Thanks b19

  7. desertsky says:

Why are they protesting in front of the sewage plant and not ministry office who’s in charge of the plant?

  8. Desert Girl says:

Capricorn – just the type of attitude this country rests on – literally.

    I agree with Desertsky.

  9. Shadowq8 says:

The weather seems nice for a walk I may join soon as I leave work.

Hmm, a bunch of people protesting with gas masks does sound headline grabbing and sends an effective message! I wouldn’t mind joining that type of protest but having to stand there protesting in front of laborers who have nothing to do with the decision making process and taking in the smell does not sound appealing to me.

This is absolutely ridiculous! Whenever I’ve passed by the 6th ring road, I’ve seen construction workers at it non-stop. Be it morning, afternoon or even late night and after midnight! Its not that its an abandoned place because some dude isn’t making money out of it.

It clearly shows that serious construction IS being done and people are working it out.

So whoever had the brains to plan an evening stroll hoping to speed up the work on site without even finding out the status of progress and claiming “construction is taking forever”… let’s see you spend 5 minutes by the drain pipes first, then you can think of making a fool of everyone and embarrassing the construction workers who are actually trying their best!

  17. Holla says:

Yeah I am down for the cause and everything but please let’s stop by Starbucks on the way to the protest, I need to get my daily Chai latte and blueberry muffin mmmm.

Better yet, why don’t we protest AT Starbucks???? that way we can at least stay warm and check out Facebook on wifi since absolutely nothing we do will get this fixed anyway?

  18. J says:

A bigger statement : Swim in the sewage.

  19. Sfsa78 says:

    J…
A bigger statement: collect the sewage in bottles and (use your imagination) at the homes of the corrupt individuals private homes (which are far from the sewage problem).

  20. Name is Bond says:

    @Shadowq8

That was an unnecessary statements!! We should not make fun of them!

  21. [...] like they’re going to be building four! I just hope they don’t put the guy in charge of the sewage treatment plants to handle the nuclear power plants. [Link] Sep 15, [...]
