Morning Demonstration

Demonstration

There was a demonstration taking place on my way to work today this morning in front of the house of parliament. At first I assumed it had something to do with the current financial instability but looking at the banners now I think the demonstration was related to the naturalization of the Bedouins Bedoun’s. Here is the larger size of the picture above. [Picture]

I was reading the papers yesterday, it said something about Kuwait’s football federation employees wanting to strike at the parliament to ask the Govt. to do something about the FIFA ban. Maybe its them… or maybe they’re gonna strike some other day.

Poor dudes. Such a complicated issue…..this problem will likely never get resolved.

Last estimations were of around 100,000 bedoons in Kuwait. It would take a significantly negative toll on the Countries budget if even 50% of them applied for the same benefits as Nationals (eg. guaranteed jobs etc).

Definitely not the right time for them, especially with oil prices destroyed and predictions for a budget deficit on the horizon!

Just being pedantic for a minute, but it should be ‘this morning’ (rather than ‘today morning’).
