Naif Chicken Sell Rotten Eggs

Today, I went to Naif and bought a large box of eggs of which I went back home to have some, but instead of having some fresh healthy eggs I found myself cracking an egg that melted with black liquid, I was shocked and tried another of which I found out that it also contains black liquid plus a dead little chicken (صوص), I called them at once to inform the company but instead of apologizing and taking action they decided to shut up about it so I don’t sue them. I was shocked and felt insulted, I hang up and went to the newspaper of which they are the one who have to protect consumer and the public opinion:
Al Rai news, I went to them with the eggs to prove it but instead they said “ We cannot publish it because we have business interest with Naif and WE WILL NOT LOOSE MONEY FOR THAT”, again shocked.
Al Watan news, I did the same as before and they were helpful and they even started asking me question and taking pictures of the eggs but the informed me that they might not publish the company name “Naif “ in case they have business relations !!!Finally I went to Al Syasa news, they also took pictures and wrote an article about the incedent and promised that they will publish it, regardless if they have business with Naif or not.
After all that talk, I understood from a couple of reporters, which I’ll keep their names and newspaper names a secret to myself, that those eggs are definitely the ones that Naif sent them to Iraq to sell them but the deal was of and they brought them back to kuwait, so instead of destroying them and losing a couple of thousands of KDs they decided to risk it and sell it, and loose a couple of people along.
Apparently for Naif Chicken people are much less than a couple of thousands of KDs so I went and to the Consumer Protection Service and put a complaint against Naif Chicken.

Naif also sells screwd up chickens. One of my friends had to be hospitalised last week after having their chicken. So…. I have coined a new phrase .. WHEN ITS NAIF ……….. ITS UNSAFE

Don’t blame Naif, blame the Food Quality Assurance dept and Ministry of Health inspectors for their “obsolete” roles in cracking down on these popular rest’s.

Thank you Joseph for trying that hard to protect each and everyone of us living in this country.. your effort to get this to public should be much appreciated by everyone.. someone else (like me) would have put them in the garbage and bitched about it for 2 days and thats it.. we should all go by your example.. thanks again..

Well, I had food poisoning from eating eggs I bought at Sultan a few months ago.
Since that moment, I have not bought eggs in Kuwait. This post just assures me that I have made the right decision.
Also, I will never buy poultry from Naif after this post.

I guess its high time people reacttttt and become aware of their rights..i know somebody who loved the food in Naif chicken (the restaurant) till one day he found a dead cockroach in his food.

I know so many people that got severe food poisoning from naif chicken… it’s tasty as hell, but rotten to the core. Naif has always had years of history with food poisoning apparently. The funny thing is their still getting away with it.

Can anyone tell me whether the above comments also apply to Naif chicken meat sold at Sultan Centre also?
I mean Naif supply most of the chicken in this country. If it is not safe, that means ppl should avoid all chicken. period.

Anyone who’s read “Fast Food Nation” can tell you that food poisoning can have nasty long term health effects in addition to the initial short term puking, stomach pains and feeling like you will die.
This is a very serious problem and not to be ignored!

Have you tried Bu Ali’s eggs? Sultan Center is selling them now at 500 fils/dozen. They are the freshest I’ve had in Kuwait and they come in a plastic see-through container so you don’t have to open the lid to see the goods. They are larger than the normal in Kuwait and the yokes are really orange (meaning fresh).
Your Naif post grossed me out, but thank you for bringing it to peep’s attention.

man i was with Josef those eggs were sooo smelly, man I can’t believe that this shit is happening here, people you have to go and complain each time you find something like that don’t throw it away go and complain.. this is how it should be. as for the newspapers!! well I’m shocked and I don’t think that I will believe any of the bullshit the write anymore.. you all spoke about Naif but what about the press man.. the public voice! Just to let you know : Naif sells dead chicekn sometimes (not slaughtered chicken) and this is indicated by altharwa al 7aiwaniya and samakia investigators. The way they store their chicken in very closed cages cause them to die slowly and they don’t even toss out the dead ones, they keep them for feeding the other chickens. In the same manner, as for alrai newpspaer and alwatan, them bastards are the biggest protectors of the evil traders such as Naif owners. They’ll publish what they want to be seen and cover the crap made by their friends. As for them, ppl should learn and boycott those newspapers and tv stations.

The proper way to buy eggs is to choose the ones in the fridge. If u think eggs are rotten because the place you bought from did not have good storage. why dont you contact naif company and complain? and why do it in public?? Shame on you .

Hey Mark,
Thought you’d like to know that Joseph’s claim to have opened an egg with a dead chic is impossible. The eggs we eat are unfertilized! “commercially produced chicken eggs intended for human consumption are unfertilized” (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egg_%28food%29#Issues_in_mass_production).
He should have done some research before attempting something like that… something is not right here. I wonder what’s the motive? Em, let me think, could it be MONEY?
I’m a big advocate of quality control especially when it comes to food consumption, but this claim has to be discredited as it is false.

what your saying is very much wrong and unbelievably insulting “MONEY” ?! this is a stand for bad merchandise awareness not something you would do! heh money!! maybe doing something good these days is not usual for some people.. well as for the one spoke about one location and bad storage well it’s even worst but let me tell you there is no way the a rotten egg BLACK from the inside could be from only one day of storage ( fresh egg my ass) as for the one who is asking why didn’t we spoke with naif well we did “read the paragraph well.. now for all naif “defenders” such as Girl Next Door how about it if you or any member of the family accidentally ate a rotten egg and suffered and if it was a little boy or girl which mostly eat eggs they would’ve died.. we are here to tell all of you one thing and that’s it.. if you see any bad merchandise report it.. and blog about it please.. we should know as you should to..
we are in times that humans and especially us the arab, we see ourselves soo cheap and our countries are being torn apart, at least we are doing now something right and in time maybe we will be more civilized..

“Abu Ali’s Farm” actually is a subsidiary of NAIF chicken, and it came to the market around year 2000 due to a disease that spread in NAIF’s farm. So, they transferred their stock to Abu Ali’s farm. They claimed also that Abu Ali chicken feeds on natural food. Therefore, it’s price was more expensive than the others at that time.
