New English School and Kuwait in the late 60′s early 70′s

This amazing and rare footage was shot with an 8mm camera back in the late 60′s early 70′s here in Kuwait. I think Kuwait looked better back then, I mean we had white picket fences! (Ignore the last minute of the video since that’s Lebanon not Kuwait) [YouTube]

    I remember this building its in Abdulla Salem Area, block 4, Opposite Yousif Bin Essa School. I think its still there and abandoned.

    That building is actually still there, I live nearby. People actually live there, it’s owned by a Sheikh (I think) but is leased out to some other family.

    I have family video on 8mm reels laying around which I bet would have some similar footage of Kuwait in the 70′s, but I haven’t figured a way to view or convert them!!! anyone knows of a local shop that does that?
