New Jazeera Airways Pricing Structure
I just noticed Jazeera Airways have introduced a new pricing structure. If you want to take advantage of their lowest fare you now need to pay extra if you want to take any kind of luggage with you and if you want to choose your seats you also need to pay extra.

Isn’t that just ridiculous? I have to pay to checkin a bag? And I have to pay again for selecting my seat?
Do I need to pay to confirm my booking as well?

I can see this being helpful and make flights cheaper for certain people. It’s not such a bad thing.

Jazeera proved long ago that they sucked, this new pricing structure makes them more sucky.

It makes sense for people who dont want to pay regular rates for a 60 min flight to Bahrain or Dubai. But theres no denying their service sucks

I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about their service and thats why I don’t fly with them anymore.

Now if only they can make ticket auctioning possible that will be the icing on the cake. While Jazeera Airways is no Emirates for service, food etc., their overall service can put Kuwait Airways First and Business Class to shame.

Their structure in the link is not accurate…
Seat selection is listed as free, and food is also listed as free for all bookings…

This reminds me of http://www.airasia.com, I had to pay for my luggage and actually pay for being one the first to board the plane, you can sit anywhere you want.

well, to be fare to Aljazeera I would say that by adding separate charges for luggage and seat they are doing exactly what most of cheap airlines in Europe are doing. However, I guess less pepole will fly Jazeera after this new arrangment ,specially that most of traveler on Jazeera have luggage . such as Egypt and India rout.

no no no i disagree with you guys …..i think the new plan is great….and i think u still can take ur free of charge handbag with you on the plane….which is enough most of the time….nice aljazeera cheap again!

Hi All
How many of you travels only for a weekend (3 or 4 days maximum). In that case you don’t need to check baggage as you will have a Hand Bag and a Laptop maximum which means you are saving MONEY..from another hand 20 KG for 3 KD is really cheap. I just purchased a ticket KWT/BEIRUT/KUWAIT from 24th July to 28th July (HIGH SEASON I ASSUME) for a total cost of 43 KD – can MEA, Kuwait Airways and Wataniya Airways get even closer to this rate? Don’t think So…

Just to let you guys know I once travelled jazeera PLUS (business class) and they gave me only 1 free sandwich!!!! (as a business traveler you should also get free drinks and additional food for free but I only recieved 1 free sandwich!!!) Also, when I arrived at Kuwait rather than having my luggage to come out first cuz I flew business class it arrived as one of the last pieces!!1 WTF? And their office was closed at mid-night. GG jazeera, I love you Kuwait Airways :)

How come i never get the cheap rates when i am buying jazeera? Flipping hate it!.. Service is crap, but i dont really care. If they ask me to stand and go in the plane for my 50 min flight to dubai/bahrain for 10KD less, i will go (cz thats how many times i go there :P)
Any advice on how to catch those low fares? do i book early .. what do i do. I never seem to get cheap fares!

I came back to take my words back ! so far I was OK with Jazeera airways since nothing horific happened to me . BUT today they canceled my mom flight Isfahan-Kuwait with no prior notice !! and when i called the call center here I couldnt get through the whole day. it was either busy or no one picks up. when I finly got through , the guy on phone said : ” no mom, we were going to call all the travelers to tell them the flight is canclled and give them the option to chose other city or other date “! . the strange thing is that in Isfahan Airport they told my mom that this is 3rd week they are canceling the flight !!
I guess Jazeera new policy is : sell the ticket, cancel the flight and then force the poor/ stuck travelers to chose from which ever date or which ever city is available.
they will lose customers as fast as they gain them over the years. At least I know I will not chose them anymore when I find other option is avalible.

My cousin they canceled his flight without telling him.
My friend they pushed his flight back 1 hour ahead without telling him. He ended up missing flight.
My other friend had a confirmed booking with a seat number and they forced him to pay $100 extra for changing the booking date which he hadn’t. They refused to let him on the plane unless he paid so he had to.
Another friend who was pregnant arrived at the planes departure gate but they wouldn’t let her onboard because she was a minute late (they told her because she was 1 minute late she couldn’t get onboard). She told them they didn’t announce a final call or anything they didn’t care. They then made her wait outside the gate for 20 minutes until they could remove her bag from the plane.
Another friend arrived to the airport 15 minutes before the final check in time. He waited in line and by the time he got to the check in counter they told him he couldn’t check in cuz he was a minute late. He told them he wasn’t late but they were slow and he had been waiting in line patiently. They refused to let him check in.
