New signs on the Gulf Road

Two years ago I posted about the signs on the Gulf Road that are placed before the exits that take you to the sea side restaurants like Chili’s and Fridays. Well today I noticed they have new signs in place and they look even worse! Not only that but they have two of the signs mixed up, they have the Fridays sign at the exit for Johnny Carino’s and the Johnny Carino’s sign in front of the exit for Fridays.

Why do advertisments here in kuwait block most of the pedestrian paths and pavements?? It’s quite dangerous because people that are walking are most of the time being forced to pass these monstrosities by getting off the pavement and walking in the road having yourself playing russian roulette with fast traffic.

And you can’t possibly time your little walk on the street in a way that you wouldn’t risk getting hit by a car?
I’ve seen Egyptians cross highways and survive, and you can’t do that? =/

Thats pretty funny, which company took over after Warba and Concorde? They should just put them out for bid, and that is it!
9. Mark | July 17th, 2007 at 8:18 pm
they did put them out to bid as they do every 5 years. the company who won paid nearly double what was paid 5 years ago.

Biohazard,
Sorry, my mistake, you’re right. For some reason i thought that that was dangerous. Silly me, with, as you put it “my little walk”, thinking the pedestrian walk way or pavements was intended for the safety of people, not having them to walk in fast moving traffic, that, by the way, egyptians never use (the pavement), as evident of their daily deaths being reported in the newspapers.
Biohazard, a little advise: Think before you make illogical statements.

And the funny thing is that we ask ourselves: “laish deeratna mo mitqadma mithel dawal il okhra”.
