We need a major American supermarket or Walmart to break Sultan Center’s monopoly on the import of American foods/products. Sultan Center has been bleeding its customers dry all these years. We had a Safeway once with branches in Fahaheel and Dhajeej before the invasion. Before that, all Western expats had was Lu’lu Al-Marzooq Supermarket in Ras Salmiya.

you know what i saw on one of those tv slideshows at the avenues?
i saw Red Lobster, Sonic, Jack In The Box, Wendy’s, and Arby’s in the Food World slideshow… nothing is legit except for Arby’s but i’ll cross my fingers

Wow, there are more comments about the cheesecake factory than there are about Office Depot. There more competition there is in Kuwait the better, so lets get office depot up and running asap and give the other computer/supplies/furniture/accessories places (you know who they are) a run for the their money. Lets have some choices! And before I forget, A costco or sams club would be great. too.

I do not agree with you Mark… seriously we need a pro office supplier in Kuwait..where you dont buy dust at the same time..

The Cheese Cake Factory in KSA only has cheesecakes, and we have a store in Kuwait that sells their cheese cakes also… not interested. We need the real food Cheese Cake Factory not dessert.

I heard that Cheese Cake Factory is supposed to open in the new Messilah Beach Hotel.

Cheese Cake Factory is indeed international – there are branches in KSA.

Im not sure if this information is true or not, but it is most likely to be true, Cheese Cake Factory will be opening in Kuwait soon, as their first franchise.
The only reason where it may not be true, is that Cheese Cake Factory don’t franchise.

COSTCOs is a good idea but it kinda f*c*s with the system since BAKALAS will start to get the upper hand on Co – op centres but in the same time it will be great for all those families like mine that have four or five or six kids
it great having it here in canada
