Online grocery shopping in Kuwait
I prefer passing by an actual supermarket to buy my groceries but this could be an attractive solution for people who don’t have the time to physically go and shop.
There are two local online grocery stores that I know of, taw9eel.com and foodkuwait.com. Foodkuwait.com requires you to sign up and login before you can do your shopping which is really stupid. Taw9eel.com on the other hand allows you to browse their products before you decide to sign up or order.

There is also a website for Shuwaikh, shamiya, and mishref Coop if im not mistaken. I think it was http://www.icoop.com and i tried it once to buy my sister some juice for school tommorow and no one was there to take her to jam3ya long story. But it didnt work out for some reason i dont recall what.
Want to see some serious online grocery shopping? Try http://www.tesco.com!!! Sooooo Coool. Why dont our local grocery and supermarkets just copy that service and implement it here?
Mark you should have a new review regarding online shopping. They seem to pop out every where like pop corn… Books clothes computers groceries banking etc. etc. etc. and all are local!!!! Wanasa :)

Another good thing about them is they deliver KDD icecream! we sometime crave icecream so much but too lazy to go out and if we call KDD home delivery we have to buy a box and we dont want to buy a whole box of one kind of ice cream that takes up our whole freezer! So this is cool :) I want some Colombia ice cream now

Abdulaziz you should try gelato Italiano! The best ice cream place in town! They have one flavor of frozen yogurt (I want more, since I love frozen yogurt) and they have many low fat flavors and soya based ice-creams.. it is so so so good! Mark… maybe you should review and rate that ice cream place!

Ansam as for gelato italiano, im sorry but i do not have any kind of ice cream claiming to be a gelato after trying the real gelato in italy. Gelato italiano is nice… but not the best … i remember there was one gelato place in salmiya near 3alamiya for pizza which had fresh made gelato back in 2004 but they shut down… that was the best q8y-icecream dressed up as gelato! i dont recall the name of the place but its a pity they closed it down :( There is also a gelato place in al-kout but it tastes kinda of blah to us. And that purple gelato place in marina mall infront of virign mega store? marolee or morelle? Thats the same one in Harrods UK but the one in harrods is soo good tasting its worth the extra price you pay for an ice cream, they have a maroon glacee ice cream that is heart wrenching. BUT when they opened it in Kuwait and we were SOOOO EXCITED thats finally its here… ibsara7a … it was not that good, even the icecream tastes different here and scarse number of flavours is shocking. Haggen Dazs the only place that maintains its flavours as a place worldwide so currently its our choice of ice cream place, try their banana toffee sunday and you will cry from happiness.

Man! After your lemonade comment on Noodles… Now I want banana toffee sunday!
About ice cream.. yeah I agree, Italian Gelato in Italy is WAY BETTER, but sometimes I settle for less because I cant live without icecream :-P
Besides.. I dont know any places in Kuwait where they sell frozen yogurt..
Italian Gelato is in Sharq Area, Ahmed Al Jaber St. Next to Dar Al Awadi Mall. And there is also Ice Cream World next to Berdawni Palace. I like both places..

I don’t think that a grocery in a good idea via online… You cannot compare grocery online and let say buying online cinema tickets, buying clothes or flowers.. Groceries are in every corner. And also it will take time to find what you want and which brand bla bla bla. I prefer going to super marker instead of online grocery..

I beg to differ abdullah, there are some groceries you have to buy every week and sometimes you just don’t have time. For example, if you want to buy Ariel, Tide, Clorox, KDCOW long life milk, CornFlake Tiger, Fairy Liquid, Kleenex Tissues, Dove Soap, Ma6a7en Spaghetti, Green Giants Red Kidney Beans, California Gardens Fool,Carnation Milk ,and betty Crooker’s Cake Mix. I will order all of these online now while sitting at home. I dont have to check for their expiry dates, or how they smell, or how they look, or how cold/hot. I dont have to drive all the way to the Coop and find a parking place and have the indian at the till grap my cart from my hands and load the cashiers conveyor belt himself like im some kinda of spoiled brat who cannot lift his stuff one inch higher, i do not have to put up with those cleaners who make saaad faces at you whilst loading your car trunk after shooing away the same guy who tried to unload your cart for you and he tried to take your cart to the car, you dont have waste that much fuel going round and round in the parking lot looking for a parking while the super market is empty and every one parked is vising the local starbucks. I dont have to honk and yell and scream and gain gray hairs because of all the traffic. Infact, maybe it will help ease up the traffic problems a little. Viva La Technology

LOL thats funny! It came from the heart, and wow! You have your groceires’ list memorized! wtg Abdulaziz! heehee…
You know I always tell them I will bag my groceries myself unless I see them starting it already.. and I carry my own bags to the car by myself.. unless once in a while I let them do the job for me!

online shopping is not happing in kuwait, ppl love to go out and buy things, meeting ppl…..
16. abdulaziz | May 30th, 2007 at 4:08 pm
Yeah meeting ppl in jm3ya while trying to buy tons of stuff… We are talking about real life situations her for real life. Buying a week’s worth of groceries isnt the best time for social meetings…
By the way whats up with the girls now adays? If you see a young probably newly married girl in a supermarket buying groceries she must MUST have her sunglasses on throughout the whole shopping time. Night, Day, whatever! Why is that? Vagueness? Coolness? Ashamed to be seen buying stuff?!??!?

Hi Guys,
I went to the 2 sites. Personally I found them lacking, which is a shame. If you have a service make it complete. They are going to the jam3eya anyway in your place. ;)
don’t use the footkuwait site, the title reads “Hacked by the Iraqi Hacking Team! (i’m glad I didnt buy anything).
Just my 2 bits.
Peace

Hello.. I signed up at foodkuwait.com and after entering all my personal info like my number and address I read this on the browser… “Hacked by the Iraqi Hacking Team”. Please tell me if this is true or not as I’m really worried… And have not slept for 3 days.
