Oula?

I have a quick question. I was driving by Al Khalijiyeh Building in Kuwait City when I noticed the gas station across the street from it was branded “Oula”. Is this part of the gas station privatizing? I don’t think they have a logo yet, it was just Oula written in regular black type on a white background, very dull.

Yes it is, 6 months ago KNPC sold 40 gas stations to “Oula” for around KD 37,000,000… Half of it was paid in cash and the other half will be paid in installments every 6 months for the next 4 years.

there was a law passed that gave KNPC the power to sell it station to 3 companies
first one was named oula ( fantastic choise ! ) and the second was called second … then they changed it to Al Sour ( the wall )
the third one isn’t out yet

  3. yeah i went there once on the 4th ring road…u’d think they would have a logo ready….how hard can it be?
    it looked depressing

jabriya’s station got the switch to oula

the best thing is that there are workers who put gas in your car and you pay them directly, not having to wait in line and pay at the cabin. and at every lane they have this machine for the petronet cards. i think they have a logo that looks like a drop of water or something.

Does anybody have more info on this? I hope this doesn’t mean gas prices are going to go up.

  7. Ripped_Heart says:

No!!! This means gas prices are going to go up right??? No!!!

  8. Yazeed says:

i think gas prices are not going up, but they are getting a profit from it. they are getting it at a cheaper price and they are gonna add services to the stations, like a small mini market and other stuff.

These gas stations will be run by the Al-Khorafi firm!

  10. P.I.B says:

gas prices won’t get effected, KPC controls that.
Yazeed is right, I heard the same thing which is good…

Yea, even the one in Qurtoba, 4th ring road.. but the ppl who work there (that help us ladies) are much smarter and politer, and don’t stare >. Plus filipinos work as well as Indians..
