Papa Johns

I tried Papa Johns pizza for the first time yesterday and it was really amazing. What everyone has been saying about Papa Johns is true, they do make the best pizza in Kuwait. I really really liked it a lot and I loved the pizza dips they gave with the pizza. They don’t deliver to Salmiya which sucks because it means I have to drive to Jabriya and pick it up but its worth it. If you want to try them out you can call them on 827272. I had the Little Italy pizza which has mushrooms, oregano, black olives, pepperoni and Italian sausages except I ordered it without the sausages.

For me nothing beats pizza hut.Its simply the best. In america here ,pizza hut offers extremely good pizza. Although there might be differences on the customer service.

It’s known to contain alot of MSG..
Beware

I like papa jones, but i hated the sauce which is garlic and oil..something like that. Also when you have it more then once you’ll notice the yeast taste in the pizaa, its just to much

the garlic sauce is what i really liked :)

Garlic is fine, just as long as you end up home alone!!

they are the best, i order papa john’s atleast twice a week, they have a cool online ordering site, and they have this kong sized pizza special, 30%bigger than their large.
try the chicken tenders that they have,
the garlic sauce goes well with the crumbs :)

I agree with Yazeed, I actually fell in love with Papa Johns when I went to the States and started ordering it there, and when I came home and found that they opened a branch here I was so excited.
They do have a great pizza, the best thing is that it’s not as heavy as Pizza Hut, I mean I can always feel the oil off of Pizza Hut’s pizza’s whereas Papa Johns is a bit lighter.
P.S. Ordering via http://www.papajohns.com was just SO COOOL! You no longer dealt with abnoxious phone waiters :P

I don’t know.. have you found a cockroach at Pizza Hut where you live? lol

I’ll quote this:
Do any of your ingredients contain MSG?
Papa John’s does not add monosodium glutamate to any of our pizza toppings. There is MSG in the Ranch Sauce Dipping Cup and Blue Cheese Dipping Cup.

Sometimes MSG is added to the dough. For more details: (http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~lrd/msg.html)

That is their best pizza, especially if made at Jabriyah Branch. Saba7 Al-salem branch is not that good though.
17. Yazeed | April 16th, 2006 at 12:23 pm
i tried the jabriya papa johns in before i left for the states, and i must say that it was the best pizza i have had in the middle east.
but the one in the states is obviously much better :)
the only bad thing about the papa johns branch that delivers to my address is that they close at 11pm on weekdays and 12 on weekends, that sucks…..

yeah no one orders dominos or pizza hut in the US anymore. it’s only papa johns or whatever the local cheapo shit is. dominos and pizza hut int he US are terrible and more expensive than the others for some dumb reason.

Best Pizza:
1-Pizza Express
2-Papa Johns
3-Pizza Enzo
4-Domino’s Pizza
Pizza hut is not included on the list, because it tastes like shit soaked in the nastiest fatest grease.
20. busynow | April 16th, 2006 at 3:19 pm

Papa John’s makes a great pizza. And I was so happy to try their meat pizzas in Kuwait. But I have to say this, a new pizzaria is joining the race and they mean business… Check out Villa Pizza and order the Napolitana crust. P.S. I already deleted Pizza Hut delivery phone number!
23. TweeZ | April 17th, 2006 at 3:31 am
lol, you guys know that ENZO has a Mendy Pizza?! Mendy is like Machboos…how the heck does that look like or taste like?!
24. Yazeed | April 17th, 2006 at 8:22 am
mendy pizza, yum yum
(kidding) i think they mean that the meat on the pizza is cooked mendy style, not actual rice on the freaking pizza :P
25. Mark | April 17th, 2006 at 9:07 am
i think i saw a shawerma pizza at papa johns
26. Carlsb3rg | April 17th, 2006 at 12:48 pm
Mendy is a cooking method, not a type of food.
27. TweeZ | April 18th, 2006 at 3:45 am
underground, foil-wrapped and coal-covered pizza?!
28. Les | April 18th, 2006 at 10:22 pm
Villa Pizza was crap - they opened and closed on Salem Mubarak Street last year.
Enzo is next to Wataniya and Cell u Com on Salem Mubarak Street (behind Eureka) - and I think they have a branch at the Big Ugly Red Salmiya Souk.

Travia, the owner of Papa John’s was the origingal owner of Pizza Hut before he sold out. A few years later he started Papa John’s. They have a good reputation in the states as well.

The pizza is good but the service is unfortunately below average. the staff are not trained enough. their solution to a problem could be ” i will put a note in the system for next time to be more careful “
