Red Lobster Kuwait

Red Lobster

According to one blog reader, it seems Alshaya are not the ones who will be relaunching Arby’s and Wendy’s but they are planning on launching Red Lobster in the phase 2 of Avenues. Not as cool as Arby’s or Wendy’s but still cool.

Do we even have fresh lobster in Kuwait? I thought we only had those smaller ones, forgot what they’re called…

  2. Mark says:

of course we do, sultan for example has live ones. but red lobster isn’t only about the lobsters plus i think they use frozen not fresh.

  3. Lexicon says:

in red lobster you get to chose a live lobster from a tank and they make it for u

  4. Salah says:

Red Lobster is the perfect restaurant to be opened on gulf street. 7aram they threw it in the avenues!

  5. TripleM says:

Thats seems great..I have recently reintroduced to the seafood in a renown seafood place in Cairo and I just cant have enough.
will see what Red Lobster can do..

  6. nxman says:

    Great news thanks.

  7. LunarDream says:

Wow, Red lobster. During college days, everytime we had an event to celebrate, Red lobster was the usual joint. I think the avenues won’t be the right place for it, though I can bet that it would be the same minus its coronoa beer bottles which are used as salt/pepper shakers.

  8. ??? says:

Since this restaurant belongs to Al-Shaya if it is successful enough, which is probably what is going to happen, they will open one in every nook and cranny. So don’t worry about the location guys.

  9. LunarDream: same here … oh it reminds me of the old days …1999 what a wonderful time :)

  10. M says:

  12. cajie says:

Carrefour also sells live lobsters; though I have no idea why anyone would want to eat a live lobster.

  13. Amjad says:

I’m not really into seafood, but I liked Red Lobster here in Texas.

  14. Ja says:

Best thing about Red Lobster is their Clam Chowder soup and their biscuits!

  15. Monotheist says:

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! RED LOBSTER IN KUWAIT!!!
Finally, Kuwait is getting much much cooler…
    hope it gets here ASAP.

  21. Desert Girl says:

Awesome. I love them. I would love them even better here if they served drinks with your meal.

  22. KWT23 says:

COMMENT #2 (Mark): yes they do use fresh live lobsters. They actually keep them in small aquariums inside the restaurant.

  23. Gillian says:

Omg, fantastic!! Kuwait is slowly adding some of my favourite things from back home… still won’t be perfect until we get Dairy Queen and Tim Horton’s! :)

  24. hali77 says:

I agree Gillian…a DQ blizzard would be amazing and a Timmy’s iced cap. or a triple triple!!! I would like to see Olive Garden here. Im not a lobster fan..having practically grown up on it. The lobsters at the sultan centre actually come from Nova Scotia…My homeland…ahhhhh!!!

  25. uturn says:

Woooow CoOOooOooool, another lifeless crappy franchise ..

  26. sfsa78 says:

Did you know that lobster’s teeth are in it’s stomach?!?! no joke!!

  27. OOOOH I HOPE THEY BRING THE COCONUT SHRIMPS!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH AND THE SHRIMP PLATTER!!!

  28. Sarah says:

Don’t we have a DQ in kuwait? in shaab park if i am not mistaken?

  29. ok go says:

Red Lobster is generic seafood. Usually frozen. Its pretty much the Denny’s of seafood. I dont get why they would bring these cheap American franchises to Kuwait. Why not Cheesecake Factory? P.F. Changs? California Pizza Kitchen? Claim Jumpers? All are much better options than Red Lobster. Whats next Denny’s?

  30. Gillian says:

sultan’s lobster comes from nova scotia?? Way cool… i’m so proud — my country too!! And i swear to god, if there’s a DQ in shaab park, i’m pretty sure you’re gonna see a lot of canadian teachers lined up in front of it this weekend!! And i agree, the Cheesecake Factory would great too! (Might add a couple extra pounds, but whatever!) But i haven’t heard of the others. Talking about all this food makes me think of another fav from home… 7Eleven Slurpees. Best junk food in the world.

  31. ~LE~ says:

like what took them so lOng…?

  32. TAz says:

Gillian, How about we represent the whole country….

    Lets have Lafleur Poutine……

  33. LunarDream says:

We had DQ in kuwait, but it closed down out of misery and poor sales. It should have been ice cream branches only.

  34. the simper says:

every one is asking for a restaurant.. how about “Olive Garden”??

  35. nazz says:

OMGGGGGGGG yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im soo exciteed! i go to red lobster here in Toronto all the time! the place is GREAAT! the food is to die for, they have the best and most freshest combinations of sea food i have ever seen at any restaurant! plus, their prices (in comparison to the proportions) are very reasonable! AND…goodness..their cheddar biscuits are better than heaven itself! i just hope they dont jack up the prices in kuwait, darn it.. but you know they will >:(.. oh well..i cant wait to go back to kwt this summer, im taking my family there for sure! :)
thanks for the info, mate. :) cheers!
