Mark, didn't you say in your original post about the accident that the ambulance came to the crash scene five minutes after the crash happened?

Happy Wolf, did you cry wolf when they attacked you? Har Har Har!

Anyway Happy Wolf, while I sympathise with your problem I really really want to know why they beat you?

[...] Reading Mark’s latest entries, reminded me of the fast food restaurant Hard Cook, and I remember laughing so hard the first time I have been there. It was like two years ago (winter break of 2005 to be exact). And it was me, my mom, and my aunt (5altee) who we picked her up from the hospital and we were on our way to drop her off at her house. She was a bit hungry (and so did I) so we stopped at Hard Cook. Now, this was my first time there; I looked at the title of the restaurant and the next thing I was laughing hard. My aunt looked at me and then looked at mom “what’s wrong with him?”. My mom smiled and said “apparently he’s laughing at the title of the restaurant” (I love how my mom understands me without me saying anything). My aunt realized why I was laughing and gave me her famous, long-stretched word “3eeeeeeeb” (which means shame on you or something). Now, the thing that brought tears to my eyes is the way the workers dressed especially the big, silly Mexican hats they wore. It just the idea didn’t click to me, and whoever came up with the idea is certainly clueless, because it wasn’t original, it was darn funny. I mean you have to see the way they look from afar; the big hats were hilarious walking around on the street. Things got worse when one of the waiters approached our car to receive our orders, because I was still laughing hard. When he approached our window, I picked my phone and was pretending that I’m laughing with my “imagined-caller”. I couldn’t order anything, so my aunt ordered me what she wanted for herself.
Talk about copy rights ... i hope they could sue HARD COOK for the mix-up hehehe .. and to be Frank its an acceptable mistake ... but the 777 service should've reacted much faster instead of calling me 5 times ... and wasting so much valuable time

Happy Wolf: What happened to you is nothing short of inxecusable and evil, and as much as I hate to say it, I agree with you. I'm Kuwaiti but my god it shames me when I hear about stuff like this.

The only advice I could give you now, after it's way too late, is to perhaps pursue it with your country's embassy. I wish I could offer you anything better.

Thats horrible! These guys really don't react at all, and this isn't the first time! They don't do anything about it, and there is no reaction! Unless you call the police station directly nobody will react!

I wish they would do something about it! There is no reaction and they don't care! They should have helicopter transportation for a country like this! How sad!

WOW 30 minutes with a severe internal hemorage chances of survival are next to null. One thing i would like to add motorists in Kuwait have no clue what it means when they here a siren, they never give the right of way and definitely will not yield to the right.

BTW I found this related article regarding motorcycle full gear.

Almost 1 out of every 10 motorcycle fatalities are single vehicle accidents.

In other words, the biker runs into a stationary object such as a tree,
bridge, parked vehicle, etc. As much as we hate to say it, our fallen
brother was probably the cause of his own demise. The vast majority of the
single vehicle accidents involve alcohol. We have got to stop letting our
biker friends ride while intoxicated. This is a touchy issue and one I will
address more later.

[Here is the good part...]
A related cause of single vehicle accidents resulting in fatalities is
wearing full face helmets and gear. Let me explain. When the weather turns
cold many of us will don clothing and equipment that keeps us warmer while
riding. These include scarves and full face helmets. When the rider wears
these items the inflow of fresh oxygen is decreased and is replaced by the
rider's exhaled air (carbon dioxide). Breathing in carbon dioxide makes the
rider light headed and may eventually cause a black out which usually
results in an accident. These accidents are most often fatal.

In the past most of the accidents caused by lack of oxygen were written up
as "rider error". It wasn't until Pete Conrad, the third man to walk on the
moon, died of a motorcycle crash in 1999 that further studies were done to
produce evidence otherwise. After an autopsy was done of this famous
astronaut, the coroner announced that the crash was a direct result of
"oxygen deprivation". This causes me to think back to the times I would ride
in sub-freezing temperatures with my scarf wrapped around me like a mummy. I
remember after a couple of hours of cold weather riding I would become
"sloppy" in my riding. Now I know why.

In summation, do not let or encourage your biker friends to drink and drive
and if you wear a full face helmet make sure there is a flow of fresh air
coming in."

Thats nothing new ! Imagine an Indian trying call 777 in his broken Arabic ! .Back in 99 I was attacked by 7 Pakistani school boys , though i fought back [ pew!] it was too much to take as they decieded to pelt me with stones , so here i am at my work place with nothing but the window diplay to cover me ,trying to call 777 with my broken Arabic trying explain the seriousness of the situation and all he[777] said was "mai Kalef mai kalef , seer kair InshaAllah " . I wonder if in USA i had called and the operator had said "no problem , no problem , Everything will be alright God willing "

I realized that day that in Kuwait if you are Asian , you are just dirt...doesnt matter how well you are educated or not... just dirt
