stay as far away as you can from the rude and pretentious louts posing as staff at MUGHAL MAHAL. i've blacklisted that place for multiple reasons over multiple visits. its been about three years since i went there and i would agree with the person that said the food is not authentic.

if you really want some of the best indian food then go to the sheraton in bombay where you will find 'peshawar' restaurant - ranked one of the top 50 on the planet by 'restaurant' magazine's annual review. beware though that you can only eat with your hands (yes i know its strange for a hotel) so you will have to wash up and prepare to attack. put it on your list for when you make a trip there. you will not be disappointed.

in kuwait i haven't been a frequenter of indian food of late but i recall Taal had some good food and bukhara is always a consistent destination (albeit it quiet - not a bad thing these days).

indigo delivers some decent food also.

Chicken tikka masala is so passé now. It is chicken chettinad and kori roti which is the choice of the newly arrived. Hope the F & B manager at IKEA is reading this.

when I got home and was eating my lunch, I thought of this post and started to wonder, is the reason you eat out because of work time or you do not like to cook at home?

some historical references for chicken tikka masala or CTM for short -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_Tikka_Masala

it seems the history is a bit disputed... in any case the dish itself is something else !

And there was me thinking Chicken Tikka Masala was an Indian invention. Turns out it was introduced by a British chef working at the Gaylord restaurant ( rest assured, there's nothing gay about it) off Oxford street in London. From there Chicken Tikka Masala went places and there's been no looking back since.
