Showtime STILL taking my money!
What the hell? Two months back I got into a huge fight with Showtime because I wanted to cancel my subscription and they told me they were still going to take 1 more month of subscription fee because I didn’t give them a months notice. I couldn’t understand the logic and after a large argument I gave in as long as it meant I wouldn’t have to deal with them ever again.
Well guess what, I just checked my account balance and Showtime took another month of subscription from me! What kind of company is this? Its bad enough they took an extra month of subscription and now it seems they HAVEN’T even cancelled my subscription at all!
Showtime are really terrible, I keep thinking they can’t get any worse and they keep getting.

Call ur bank and cancel ur CCs or just report that u lost them they will issue new for you for “FREE” with new numbers and with no standing order.
If you are dealing with them by K-Net (normal standing order) just report it to ur BANK , or withdraw all ur money and close ur account and open another one.

I don’t think cancelling the credit card helps when a subscription is taken from a bank account. But maybe there is a facility to cancel a standing order/direct debit with the bank, as there is in the UK. It’s just such a pain to have to go to company offices in Kuwait to sort out problems like this. Everything in this country is made difficult - it really frustrates me sometimes, so you have my sympathy. Let’s discuss ways to get revenge like cutting off their office electricity supply, etc

That is just crap!
They horrible and thats why I only pay cash! I never let them withdraw shit! You can pay cash.. even though its annoying every time getting a new card, but when nobody is using it we dont have need it!
Its that simple! Its easier to buy a new card then to renew! This way they dont take crap from your account!
I would take Frankom’s steps!

I complained.
I think you should complain to the headquarters in UAE trust me you’ll get what you want.

try closing your bank acct and open a new one.
go to the police dept and tell them showtime is stealing your money.
get a lawyer to threaten them so they would stop.

I had a run-in with Showtime customer service yesterday. For me, it was neither too bad nor too good. Had to wait for 20 minutes for my turn - and during this period - I saw a variety of people complaining / threatening and a big commotion (was that was you 3abeer?).
My receiver had a faulty power supply and I was made to pay KD 10 to fix it even though it was less than 6 months and should have been under warranty.

I just called my bank complaining about another 16.250kd charges from showtime. I explained that I went to showtime and ended my contract 5 months ago.
they told me that you have to provide an official paper from showtime to the bank that says ur account have been officially ended. and after that any new charges to ur account will be handled by ur bank and refunded to U.

Dude, thanks for reminding me. I have had my showtime for about 6 months now and barely watched it….I need to go and cancel it. Time to unleash the dragon…..I’ll raise hell if they give me any hassel.

lol this is too funny. the comments here put me in a better mood. can’t believe the trouble a person needs to go through to have a subscription cancelled. seems i have to change my name, close all my accounts and go into hiding and maybe then my account would get cancelled.

Do it the right way; read your contract conditions to know how to cancel it, write down a letter to the customer service, keep a copy of it, deliver it yourself and ask to have a written confirmation, in case you’ve already done that, then write a letter to reclaim the money back. They do it to every body because they know that no one reads the contract conditions!

showtime in kuwait are the worst company
first place by far , no service , they never pick the phone and if by chance they do they don’t help at all
good thing i didn’t go with united network as an ISP

i had the same problem, i canclled and still got charged 3 month after that, there is a bunch of english greedy asshols in Dubai who get commsion out of it thats why they fucking do it.
Thats a fact.
