I passed by for lunch at IKEA today and noticed they had some kind of shrimp festival going on. They had 6 different kinds of shrimps, sweet & sour, chopsuey, grilled, stir fried with noodles, fried and Thai curry shrimps. I had the Thai curry and it was ok but will probably go back and try something else next time. Each dish costs KD2.250.

DO NOT EAT KUWAITI SHRIMP. Thanks to the massive ongoing sewage spill, all seafood is heavily polluted. I love shrimps, but the idiots had to go and f*ck it up.
Ugh i hate seafood, ahah.
BTW Mark just for your general info, since Slider Station’s FB page reached over 3000+ members, on the 28th which is tomorrow, they’re going to be serving free desserts on the house all day (they didnt mention anything about specific timing)

Omar, thanks for the heads up but I dont think anybody is bothered to serve Kuwaiti fresh shrip. They maybe frozen, year old shrips probably Made in U.A.E. ones

They used to serve six pieces of breaded shrimp (Classic dish) ..
you SHOULD try it .. fresh & tasty for cheap price ..

I asked the manager, and he confirmed that the Shrimps were not from Kuwait, they get them freshly frozen form Thailand & Vietnam.
And by the way they still have the breaded Shrimps, I think for KD.2.250/ A shrimp platter is an awsome deal..

I don’t recommend eating from that. got sick after eating from IKEA. never happened anywhere else before.
BGBoyZ…………..Sir Food poisoning is caused 6 hours after the last meat that you had and i dont know what you ate before coming to IKEA but what i do know is that the food at IKEA is the best food around and you eat what you have paid for and much more………the service is quite nice ponder on this give me one store name where you can spend the entire day in and i will get back to you ……….and i am a regular customer of IKEA been eating there since 1984.
well It effected me after about 8 hours and not same time. and I know what I eat everyday and before I went there. and I know when I eat something good or bad. I use to eat from there every time I’m in IKEA but this time, it was not good experience. So before you defend them I know what I’m saying and I know it was from the food I had in IKEA
