These photos were taken during the construction and commissioning of the Shuwaikh Water and Power Station. The pictures are from the 1950’s and much of what’s documented is still there and in use.

That’s awesome, just the fact that the man ni charge would wear a lab coat and stand not sit in front of the panel is awesome.
I hope it has flashing lights that no one knows what they’re good for except for flashing in danger like all cool 1950’s machines.

Between this and the Kuwait Towers .. the past is starting to look like a lost set everyday.
