There was a guy in charge there and I asked him a couple of questions. I found out that it costs KD1.5 per hour to skate, rollerblade or bike in the park. They don’t rent out the gear nor do they have any gear to rent out. What they will provide you with though is the safety gear like a helmet and elbow and knee guards. This skate park appeared early in the Summer and was unfenced. Now it's fenced and there is a small charge. Maybe the fence is for security and safety, or maybe they just want to make a buck. Anyway, it's there, which must be a good thing. One comment I heard from a skater though, it seems to be more designed for bikes than boards, as there is a bit of a lip/step where the ramps meet the ground. Another good thing is the climbing tower at the Waves. Again it was free for a trial period, now there is a small charge. An instructor will show you the ropes - literally.
