Sneak Peek: Choowy Goowy at the Avenues
Choowy Goowy will be opening up at the Avenues hopefully this Wednesday. This will be Choowy Goowys first store and they’ve really come a long way since I first reviewed them over three years ago back in January 2006. They will be baking cookies at the Avenues store so you should be able to pick some up as they come out of the oven. The pictures above and below are just sneak peak shots of the store taken with a Nokia E71. They still haven’t removed the wooden paneling that currently surrounds the store so it was pretty hard to get anything wider than these shots.
Update: I just realized that a lot of readers might not be aware of the fact that Choowy Goowy have cookies called Mark&Nat. Back in November 2006 Nat and I were invited to Choowy Goowy to create our own cookies. After some experimenting and having some friends try out our creations, the oreo cookies were voted as being the best and so Choowy Goowy decided to make these cookies and call them Mark&Nat with jar labels matching our blog. You can read about our experience [Here]

hummmm…do we actually neeeeed another empty calorie, make me fat-fast place in Kwt??!! all we do is eat out and pay to get fat to the look-so-pretty multibillion dollar chains that open up here!!
I’n no health nut and believe me…i like sweets!!! but Kuwait is getting more good-for-nothing-but flab-on-ur-ass, restaurants opened up all the time…..instead of promoting a healthy concious lifestyle, they are killing everyone slowly with unhealthy habits!
Just for the buck!!….and at the cost of ur middle section!
I’m always overweight in Kuwait and wonder why??…hummmm….. let’s get more physical, and leave behind trash food and when we are in the vecinity…..Waaaaalk Faaaaaaster!!!!

?: I tried them two weeks back, they aren’t the best in kuwait. I had four kinds of cookies to try, 2 of them smelled really bad so i didnt even try them. the regular chocolate chip tasted a lot like Fuddruckers which isnt a bad thing of course but I would just rather get fuddruckers :)
Best cookies in Kuwait are Hardees easily!

20. teach | April 15th, 2009 at 12:22 am
Vampire- Starbucks everything is the worst………..oh and by the way, if y’all are passing through the salmiya fashionway *bucks, have a look at the ( not very) great sale BHS are having – original UK price = 12 pounds, fantastic BHS REDUCED price = 5KD…..errrrr, ’scuse me, that’s about 12 pounds………
StarBUCKS is right and BHS should be renamed simply BS………

I think my posted comment earlier was not taken positively. People! If you like eating cookies and junk food by all means, go ahead! Once in a while it wont hurt you of course…. I just wanted to raise health awareness about our daily diet. Kuwait is declining health-wise, and the locals, as well as the expatriates are all in the same predicament. A beautiful country but because of weather conditions and not enough health concious efforts, has its people, going out eating, over indulging, and indoor most of the year. Health clubs cost an “eye” , so it’s a bit difficult to become affordable to everyone, outdoor activities are confined to a few months of the year without being unconfortable to be physical active….I live a very active life, I’m very fit, excercise and i DO eat cookies and junk food from time to time, they’r great!… but metabolisms are not all the same…This is just MY opinion, by no means an insult to no one, ; ) Have a great cookie day!
