On religious views being accepted, how many Churchs are in Kuwait? One ? How many expats are in Kuwait and how much of that are Christians? Do you think it is fair that they only have one or two churchs only while in fact we all know that they shape up a big percentage of our community? DO you know that there are KUWAITI christians as well?!

Our problem is that we want to force our beliefs on other people and completely disregard their own. We want to build mosques with huge minorets in other countries and not even care to cater or RESPECT other beliefs.

What a great way to promote our religion.

but we do accept their commercial needs! Sulatn Center anyone?! Co-ops? If we don’t accept their commercial needs, then we may as well starve to death because more than half of the products located on those shelves are foreign.

And one thing that I do not want to see here is people like you telling me or anyone else how or what to think or behave. Before preaching, please read the constitution of Kuwait and understand that personal freedoms and beliefs are GUARANTEED to everyone!

i am not the only one in this country who is passionate about religion.there is a considerable number of people who dont want to see this prohibited thing in this country
Sweets,potato chips,chocolates do have harmful effect on health ONLY
but alcohol has negative effects on health and moral values
If people in UK and France are not ready to accept our religious views,why is it that we have to accept their commercial needs?

muahjjibah: A bottle on a supermarket shelf offends you? In regards to your children, and with all due respect, that is complete nonsense. I believe you should also be petitioning the supermarkets to remove of all the potato chips, chocolate, sweets, candy and other junk items on their shelves. I’m sure that thought hadn’t crossed your mind because their dangers are not mentioned in a religious doctrine.

You seem very passionate about your own beliefs, just be sure not to force them onto others. Best regards.

Is Saudi not alcohol free???guys i need more support on this
i agree, i agree, i agree that alcohol is available here in kuwait but its *ILLEGAL*(i love to see that word next to alcohol)
i dont go to supermarkets only to find those sparkling bottles on racks like i would see in dubai or anywhere else…and when i get married n i hv kids and i go to supermarkets i dont want my kids to ask me”mommy wats this??”
i wanna feel i m living in a MUSLIM country..where people dont stare at me if i have a piece of cloth tied around my head and neck to cover myself..where i wont be told to take off my veil because it creates identity confusions
@TweeZ dear i read newspapers and all those stories and yes it is sad that people have made a big black market here for alcohol.we need the govenment to take better measures to stop this

I have lived all my life here in Kuwait….i dont expect to get that blue Kuwaiti passport ever even if i live here for 20 more years here..but Kuwait gives me a sense of liberity towards my religion

i respect the feelings of non-muslims including mark…..alcohol is not prohibited for you guys ….but pls respect our feelings also…peace and love

Who needs to read the papers? Take a look at Fahaheel Expressway on a Saturday morning. Wreck.. wreck… another wreck… wreck wreck wreck. Damn – I’ve even seen drunk newscasters on TV. Take a closer look.

Anyways, if you can sit in your chair for a week +, just add several grains of yeast to a bottle and bada BING.

I’m sorry but you need to get out more. While it may be true that alcohol is banned publicly, but I think we have a pretty big black market that sells booze here.

Just read the papers….you’ll see what I mean.

For God’s sake Kuwait s the only country besides Saudi in the mid-east which is alcohol free…..plzz let it remain so….
if u wanna booz u have options to go out of kuwait n drink
i hope the rulers of our country let kuwait be like this..peace n love 2 all
