Avenues

Just a small peak into The Avenues mall. Maybe I should email Mabanee and see if they would let me go in and take some shots for the blog.

Too Huge and probably would be filled up with the wrong crowd because it is not segmented. It is almost a marina mall with an extra 20% brands. I was looking for something in the region of 50%, but I guess Kuwait is brand saturated and malls are starting to look and feel the same. I think 360 by Tamdeen are going for a radical approach with an emphasis on differenciation in brands rather for a more commercial feel. It reamins to be seen.

I think they should open high end garages like DUB garage or 310 Garage with a cool look to it, and some enzos in there! That would make it damn different!

    Hi Mark
There’s no need to ask mabanee for anything. Check the pictures in the thread below. It belongs to a very interesting forum abt the current big construction projects in Kuwait.

Mark, I was going to point you in the same direction as UzF…I also saw another site with pics on it from about a month ago - didn’t bookmark it unfortunately, I’ve been trying to relocate it without much luck.

    Hi,

It is nice to read from so many people interessted in the avenues. Im right now in Kuwait because my company (mero tsk) is responsible for all the waved metal-and glas roofs including the exterior glass facades and shading-canopies. Im proud to tell you all, that the avenues are looking realy great, inside the impression is, that you walk underneath blue/green water-waves, really cool.

We are now preparing the start of the avenues-extension, The Lakes Kuwait, wich will include more shops and a huge food court.

The avenues will be a nice place to work in!

I am shure that all future visitors will enjoy The Avenues.

    Kind Regards,
Andi, Germany (in Kuwait at the moment;))

    Hi to all,
I wouldLike to share my experience about this FANCY mall.
Like everything else in kuwait, always there is something missing, which irritate and disturbe the whole experience.
I just moved to kuwait few weeks ago, so excited to know there will be a carefure at the new shopping mall the Avenues since I used to shop at Carefure for years in Dubai, so I jumped into my car and went to check it out, but guess what, no one could tell me when it will be open, some speculations next week, next month, but the fun started when a senior customer service guy was 100% sure that it is already oppened, and I had to walk all the way from Ikea (for those who knows the place) to the end of the mall to find it is NOT.. I collected one of the mall’s directory, just to check it out during my free time, today I thought to give them a call and double check when Carefure will open, LOL I was shocked THERE IS NO TELEPHONE NUMBER listed on the main brochure of the LATEST, MEGA,pla pla pla (all the names used to describe it ) etc….shopping mall. I thought ok, lets try the tel. directory 101, called them for 5 or six time untill they picked up and guess what IT IS NOT LISTED ,, A mall with more than 50 top brands and shops not listed in the country’s telephone directory, they adviced me to contact the 808080 for the commercial listing, lets see, now I’m determined more than before, I want to know where it is gonna lead, and the expected answer once again it is not listed with an attitude voice tune this time. I really feel sorry for the level of the customer service in kuwait in general, after living for more than 10 years in UAE. I took the level of service there for granted, but now I really realize & feel the importance of the good customer service and what difference it can make on the individual, company and country level.. hope someone read my feed back in positive way and action it. try to improve the level of product knowledge of the mall employees and to list it in the directory or at least to printed on the collaterals of the mall, in order not to leave small issues spoil the full picture, and give an incomplete unprofessional image
