I am with Z do not do the lift at home, that is a bad idea and it requires suspension preloading tools as well as experience. You will then need to have an allignment done. Do not set yourself up for a headache take the car and have a pro-mechanic do the lift install for you.

I remembered you yesterday cause after the off-roading session the guys and I took our cars to the Al-zour car wash and I saw a wrangler with what I would guess to be a 4″ Pro Comp lift!

Great job on the install and I totally agree with you on the fact that it takes longer than 30 minutes to wire stuff up! When I installed speakers into my 1996 Galant in college it took me a full day. but I didn’t have to change any speakers, just the head unit and installing 2 10″ subs that were pre-installed into a compartment!

Well some people think its crap but from my experience with headphones breaking in speakers does make a difference.

FourMe: I am not turning my car into a club. Its really not much sound equipment compared to other builds.

i never wait for speakers to break in .. i think its just crap that u read on forums or blogs… i installed 3 audio systems myself with the help of some friends on 3 various cars (mine) .. all were amazing.. good job.

well done, but I doubt you have the right equipment to install the lift! I wouldn’t recommend doing it at home!

i don’t know where people got the idea that professionals take 30 minutes to install the system. They don’t they also take long. If you just want to run wires right out in the open yeah you could have everything done in 30 minutes but if you want to wire the car so that none of the wires show and everything looks stock, you need a few hours. Wiring the speaker cables alone was a bitch because I got 12 gauge speaker cables which are too thick and hard to maneuver around easily.
