Most breeders here in Germany use High Quality dry food for raising their dogs too. Feeding Toast and eggs sounds really weird to me, but I am no expert on that.
But hey, its your dog ;)

Hi Mark, you can get easy 3 books with 3 different suggestions for dog food. Ok it is maybe not wrong but not neccesary. Dry food is good for cleaning the teeth (tooth). But it's your dog is was only a suggestion because I have now my 4. dog and nobody is a better teacher than the live :-)

Jens

By the way, your website is really good and I enjoy to read it, also the old one with the pics every day...I was a litle unhappy to see a pic from inside my company but I hope it will not happen again ;-)

Jens what I am doing is not wrong at all. I am giving my dog the healthiest food I can give him. If you want do a bit of research online and read the Salon.com article on the raw food diet and you will see why feeding raw meet has so many advantages.

also, you don't need to remove the bones from chicken. They are soft and the dog like it. Only the bones from ducks and similar are dangerous. At the international hospital they have now Eucanuba, a good dog food.

... and when feeding your dog chicken wings (or any other part), always remove the bones! Dogs are more at risk of choking on a chicken bone due to its smaller size and because its weaker than cow bones, may also splinter in the dog's mouth.

Cow bones are best for strengthening dog's teeth.

baaa! we are never cheaper than cows! lamb costs more!

as a puppy he needs raw meat for developmental reasons. it is safe to switch to canned/dry dogfood when an adult. If you tend to discriminate on the quality of dogfood you want feed to Geo, you can always get organic canned dogfood, assuming you can find it in this country.

If you ever decide to get frozen beef, i suggest buying the australian frozen beef/lamb brands. Cheaper than the local, non-frozen variety.

chicken is cheapest and you should alternate, my dog seems to love those chicken wings from nayef, boiling them takes 20 minutes and they last for the week. the pack is for 600 fils and contains 12 to 15 wings.

Another suggestion, you get brazilian frozen beef meat (like 5kgs-6kgs a pack) at the cost of KD0.9/kg in Shuwaikh. Near the Vegetable market. I get that kind for my family. It's cheap & really taste nice as Roast / sometime steak! :))

My dear friends, I would like to suggest buying fresh beef meat from the Souk (I forget the name). It's the one in City, in the old market: Fisher bldg. / near the Old Ladies Area. There's a Mosque just near it. Beef meat cost KD1.5/KG

OK this is gonna sound really bad but...Your DOG is eating better than like 80% of the world's population...That's kinda sad. I mean, I love animals and I'm all for pampering them, but this is a weeeee bit much, no?
