Kuwait currently has no laws with prohibit the ownership of endangered animals. It is, however illegal to buy or sell them. We turned our evidence over to the police and the EPA who enacted the law. No money was paid, and the owner of the bear was fined. Additionally, Kuwait has signed the CITES agreements, which require laws to protect endangered animals for the benefit of all people everywhere. The only way Kuwait will ever pass these laws is if its citizens show sufficient support for them.
