The blooming onion
Under my Beef Wellington post a reader asked where they could find a blooming onion in Kuwait. The only place I know that makes a blooming onion is Chili’s. They call it the Awesome Blossom.
note: yes it’s currently back on the menu and available

Are they still serving it in Kuwait?
The last time I was there I was told it was stopped because they have to import the big onions and they didn’t find it feasible.
I love this dish and I find it the only reason to visit Chili’s.

yeah thats a problem they have, sometimes the awesome blossom it out of season but that shot was taken yesterday, they are currently serving them.

it looks over-fried, I prefer the lighter colored ones. Does this one come with an Angioplasty on the side ? :)

haha last time i was at chillis i ordered that with country fried nigger steak. i was so bloody full.

they stopped serving Awesome Blossom in chilis since long time
so i stop going there for that reson
but if they serving it again i`ll go
they have somthing like Awesome Blossom small onion slices from a small onions
the sauce in the middle of the big onion is Very Tasty

I always get the Texas Fries from Chilis, it’s an appetizer but it makes me full, so is this blossomy thing an appetizer or a main dish?
