The Photography Exhibition

I finally went to the charity photography exhibition yesterday at Beit Lothan and I was really impressed. The pictures on display were really fascinating. For some reason I was expecting to see photos of Cambodia as if taken by a tourist but practically all the photos on display were works of art. I am glad I went.

Thats fantastic! I wish there were more places which had photo exhibitions in Kuwait! Some nice places!
I wish we had a MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) Like NY! that would be fantastic!

Did you purchase anything? :P
The exhibit was great! I was able to go last week!
As for MoMA, Kuwait has it’s own Museum of Modern Art located in the corner of the sand lot infront of Souq Sharq, and behind the National Museum!

No I didn’t purchase anything but I spoke to the girls and they told me the exhibit was very successful and they were able to collect enough money to open up a new school.

It was a great exhibit!! The photography really captured the state they were in. It was surreal as if it was taken during the times of Khmer Rouge. Apprently they still live in the same conditions. i didn’t buy any, because i never knew i could.

equilizer: i’m terribly sorry that u had no idea that it was a charity work, i admit the poster did not state it much! but i had the Logo of the charity..i dont know i thought it explained it! :s .. other than that we made sure that we explained the aims of the charity and how a visitor could help, by handing out a brief discription of the charity and the hanged photos on a A4 paper saying that u could either help by depositing a sum of money in their ACC or sending a check to their adress or through us and that is by buying a photo for 30KD each and the total amout will be fully sent to the charity to help support free education for kids and rebuilding schools.. again i have to admit that its our mistake that u didnt get it we should have been more clear about it, plz thats my email (eelaaa@hotmail.com) i’ll be more than glad to send u a sample file with all the photos exhibited so u could choose a photo u like and u’ll be having it in 3 days at ur door step as a sign of our apology :)
