Transformers 2 in IMAX
The IMAX theater at 360 Mall will be opening on July 5th and it will be playing Transformers 2. I tried to purchase tickets from the KNCC website but it seems you can’t at the moment. [Link]

I watched Transformers 2 in Imax on the launch date in Dubai.
I paid double, and I was not impressed at all.
I think you really need to sit in the far back to enjoy iMax or else its a waste of money as you need to follow the movie around or you can split roles with your friend so you watch the left side and they watch the right side.

It depends on the IMAX theater.
Most of the theater here in the US upgraded there systems for the Star Trek movie, video and audio. I hope that they are not lagging behind. But still awesome. will be seeing every movie released ion the big big screen.

are all the movies priced at 5 KD everyday? or does it get reduced on specific days!? waaah.. no clue on kncc!?
Plus, what is the “timing” for the opening of 360.. wanna be there precisely at inauguration time!

Nada, its KD 3 everyday except Monday where the price is KD 1.5. VIP is always priced at KD 6.

I watched Transformers 2 in Imax back in NYC, and I loved it, The best place to sit is in the center so you have the whole screen in your line of vision and peripheral vision making it all the more realistic. What I loved the best was that most of the action scenes were in really high HD. If you sit all the way at the back in Imax its like going to a normal cinema screening. All the way in the front and well good luck seeing the rest of the screen, you want to aim at 2/3 away from the screen because thats where the director sits when editing the sound hence the sounds are at their best in that spot.

Finally 360 and the IMAX cinescape with it are now in the third stage of labor – it’s waters having broken; it’s three quarters of the way dilated. Can’t wait for the crowning moment with the cutting of the red ribbon later on in the day.
Didn’t cruising at the Avenues Mall just get a tad better?

Transformers in IMAX not in IMAX 3D. The sound, the size, the experience. See Transformers 2 in IMAX, its great! (Ice age not in IMAX but Harry Potter will be!) IMAX is great!

Oki… so I watched Transformers the first day it came out in kuwait at the avenues.. and IT WAS AMAZING… althos ome megan fox kissy kissy scenes were cut :(… anywhoooo i then watched it again on sunday at 360 in an IMAX screen… and ” I JIZZED IN MY PANTS” the sound..the video.. it was sooo amazing…. the only thing i noticed is that kncc somehow managed to cut more of the movie :( … i mean.. why would u cut more??? WHY??!! :@…. over all the IMAX is amazing… altho ppl plz dont get confused its not 3D… (i was fooled at the beginning.. was expect 3D megan fox [Drool :P])

Lol, when my friend and I were at the tickets window asking for two tickets to this movie the guy working there said: “The 3D glasses did not arrive yet, but the audio is very, very, very good.” lmaooo, wth?

i went there and it sux big time
I was sitting at the LAST row on top and i had to turn my head to look for things that move fast from corner to corner, imagine how people that sitting in middle of front was feeling ?
btw its not 3D
i wonder how real 3D movies would look like on it
