Two new food chains coming soon to Kuwait
I got an email from a tipster (which was confirmed by another source of mine) telling me that Alshaya have acquired two new food chains to bring into Kuwait. The first chain is called Potbelly Sandwich Works which sells submarine sandwiches similar in style to Subway except supposedly better. The second chain is called Texas Roadhouse which specializes in steaks and has a western theme. I hadn’t heard of these two places until a few moments ago but I guess most of you will be glad the two chains are not burger joints. On the other hand I am still trying to find out some kind of information regarding the status of Shake Shack.
I was also told by another source that Pinkberry will not be opening in the Casamaroc location at Avenues like I had previously mentioned since the owner has refused to sell the place. But, they will still be opening a second branch of Pinkberry in that area.
potbellys is amazingg… u got to try the chicken salad sandwich and the roast beef.. any idea when they plan to open these?
Potbelly is DELICIOUS. Spent many a lunch hour there during my undergrad years. Memories of grabbing a sandwich and side macaroni salad for lunch at its State Street location in Ann Arbor, MI…sigh…
Damn the avenues became more like a restaurant mall lol.

Texas Roadhouse sucks. Gaucho’s 100000x better. It’s like a steak fast food joint.
texas is like applebees, or chili’s. at home you eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor.good bugers,now all we need is a olive garden.

texas road house really sucks here in the states. But potbelly is really good!
I used to go to the Potbelly on State Street in Ann Arbor too! Looking forward to enjoying it in Kuwait soon…
Texas Roadhouse is a chain restaurant that caters to blue collar America. You shouldn’t compare it to a fine steak house. I went there with some friends and the food was as expected ~ decent. Don’t go if you are allergic to peanuts. :) I did enjoy their sweet potatoes with honey butter.

ew @ texas roadhouse. it was the shittiest american restaurant I’ve been to in the states. it serves food similar to chilli’s, applebee’s and tgi fridays. it’s horrible.

potbelly subs are loaded with sodium…like more than 100% of your RDA….so watch out.
Try their choco oatmeal cookies! 3ajeeb!! And all their other cookies!! I hope they bring their chips too! I think they were xalled poor brothers!
Pot Belly is one of my favorite fast food joints. Love it, this is great news.
Texas Roadhouse is not bad, I would have preferred Outback as my experience with them in the US is flawless.
I don’t know how well Texas Roadhouse will do here but it is pretty good back home! Franchises are not the same everywhere you go so some of the negative comments on here about it should really be in one ear and out the other. Hell, the locals will like it because it is ok to throw your mess on the floor! I really am going to feel sorry for the Filipinos and Indians that will be working there in this case! They do bring to many of these establishments here that are big on serving ALCOHOL! They just better not try and squeeze this place into a small location!
