Unacceptable Material Received

I ordered a Jason Markk premium sneaker solution set and it just got held by Aramex as unacceptable material. Turns out they won’t ship liquid material I now have to send it back, sucks!

Can you ask the seller to ship the merchandise directly to you via UPS or Fed Ex? I have a jewelry store on Amazon and ship a lot to the Middle East. A lot of my customers use Aramex. But I will ship anywhere in the world and I sometimes wonder why no one ever asks me to ship directly to them.

just throw it in the washing machine

You can’t do that. It completely ruins the sneakers. I have some very limited sneakers like 200 pairs world wide and no way on earth would you want to put those in a washing machine. The Jason Markk solution set is like one of the best if not the best sneaker cleaning solution set available according to Sneaker Freaker magazine

A similiar thing happened to me… I once ordered a body wrap for my ipod (the one that sticks on the ipod). The box supposedly comes with a spray to put on the wrap before applying it… GUESS WHAT, They emptied all the liquid out and went on to send the package with the empty spray bottle!!!

you could always use the option of USPS mail service if the items from US it takes a little while but surely comes :D if u have tracking on it even better :D

they maybe slow but you get your shipment :D

“Try USPS” The Post Office asks if there are any liquids, etc when you go in there to have something shipped. I would go with UPS or FedEx because they are fine with liquids. I am in the US and companies tend to go with UPS when they are shipping liquids. The company I order makeup from always ships via UPS for this very reason.

Jiff make a white milky coloured bathroom cleaner “creme” spray… I get it here in Bahrain and it DOES WONDERS on shoes. I’ve cleaned Adidas Superstars, FCUK kicks, nike cortez… even Hugo Boss leather trainers that were caked in mud… you name it. You spray the stuff on and the dirt comes off like new when u use a regular kitchen sponge.

Mark, I’m sorry to hear about your recent mishap with Shop&Ship! Unfortunately, Shop&Ship does not ship liquid materials, primarily because we have endured many problems with carrying such items in the past due to security issues.

We are currently working closely with our offices in New York on improving this procedure by reducing limitations on shipping liquids, without compromising the security concerns involved. Hopefully, you will soon be able to ship similar items using Shop&Ship.

Again, I’m sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. To avoid similar issues in the near future, I strongly suggest that you consult this link when shopping online: http://www.aramex.com/news/item.aspx?id=9e86c5df-a80f-4319-af47-df77c8d44db3

Please let me if you need any information or help.

    Thanks,
    Feras

    Sorry Mr. Hilal,

But why such a thing like contact lenses has to be prohibited?

I’m really fed up with your service.

    Thank you

Same here, ordered creams and body lotions and they keep it in NY. I did search eBay for this product, Mark did you try to order it from sultan center or just ask if it possible to deliver it to their location in the US after they will deliver it to Kuwait.

    good-luck man

I don’t know why you are complaining — it states right there in black and white that liquids are prohibited.

  23. 23. Mark | June 15th, 2009 at 4:28 pm

    I didn’t complain.

    Greetings VirusX,

Thank you for raising this issue as I believe it represents a common misconception amongst our customers and needs to be addressed. Our prohibited items list is quite clear in declaring what is acceptable and what is not. Contact lenses, per se, are not listed as being prohibited. Should our New York or London operations receive a shipment containing contact lenses alone, then it would certainly be forwarded without any delay. However, if a parcel contains contact lenses as well as any contact lenses cleaning solution or formula, then the parcel will certainly not be forwarded as the solution is a liquid and is therefore prohibited.

We hope that this information was useful to you, and that it has clarified the issue. Thank you once again for expressing your view on this matter, and we hope that we will be able to better serve you in the future.

    Best Regards,
    Murad Bdair
