I just killed a huge mosquito in my parents room. IT WAS HUGE. I thought it was a spider at first because of it’s thick legs.

I think I know the reason.
We went to Entertainment city last week; and it was full of mosquitoes. Upon further investigation, I found that they have drained the water from the 2 main pool that used to host the boat rides. This has created a sort of swampy area which is the ideal breeding ground for mosquitoes.
They must be taking a cruise in their specially designed hummers to have a look see at Kuwait City & neighbouring areas.

Mosquitoes need still water to breed and after the rains we had a lot of that out in the desert regions. There is a crap load of them near the beach houses which are surrounded by desert.

I have mosquito bites all over me. It looks like the chicken pox. I have been using foundation on my arms and legs so I can look semi-human at work. Half my salary is going into buying the Raid/Piff-Paff plug-in deterrants.
I thought it was bad in Virginia, but OMG!

Yeah mosquito’s here. There are 10 people in the house, and I’m the only one that mosquito’s bite. They love my blood.

Last week I saw the first mosquito since ‘ve been in Kuwait (3 years). It was half inch which surprised me. I believe the reason is that the wet period concurred with the period when the mosquito larva metamorphoses into the flying insect. remember, this year, rain lasted longer than the previous years and there are still lots of wet surfaces which are breeding such mosquitoes.
