Vespa

Vespa COol

Is there someone in Kuwait that imports the Vespa brand of scooters? I think it would be cool to travel around Salmiya in a baby blue Vespa. No more looking for parking at Sultan Center..

Gee I remember the days I used to have a scooter… squeeze park on anything that resembled a pavement…. How does it go for a riding license for a scooter here anyway I wonder…

can you go down the middle lane of Arabian Gulf Street at 20kph pulling a wheelie on 1 wheel in a Vespa? Or do you just have to be a wanker to do that…?

i’d be scared to drive this thing in kuwait. also don’t they top out at like 50mph or something?

With all the crazy driving that goes on in Kuwait, My Advice: Forget it!

  11. 11. ahmed | May 24th, 2006 at 1:39 pm

I agree with Cejata. I live in Rome and see at least one accident per week, no kidding. No one drives as crazy as Italians but drivers in Kuwait are very close.

  12. 12. Mark | May 24th, 2006 at 1:45 pm

well i was thinking more about using it to drive around salmiya. if i need to go to marina mall or pick up something to eat from Sbarro.. it would be like a practical way of travelling around Salmiya. If it costs like 500 or 600KD it would be a pretty good buy

  13. 13. tim | May 24th, 2006 at 1:58 pm

Hey - a pushbike would work…. and considering you’re thinking about using it to go get food… ;-)

  14. 14. hola | May 24th, 2006 at 2:26 pm

ahmed italians can at least use alcohol as an excuse for accidents. kuwaitis have no excuse for their shit driving, they just suck.

  15. 15. unknown | May 24th, 2006 at 2:42 pm

Why dont you try Tristar? its in Sharg at the corner of Fahaheel and First Ring Road. They even have something cooler than the VESPA, they have those BMW C1? its really cool for what you want …

  20. 20. Nat | May 24th, 2006 at 4:07 pm

    looooll

Ok I have mentioned it before, but riding anything on two wheels in Kuwait requires a bit of finesse and a huge amount of luck!! From my experience it isnt these young crazy fucks who are really bad, its the women who dont pay attention when driving!!!

  23. 23. Les | May 24th, 2006 at 10:35 pm

In Shuwaikh near ACE Hardware, they have an agent for the Indian made ‘Bajaj’ scooters. Not as cool as a Vespa, but if you want to pick up something from Sbarro or get a job delivering for them - the Bajaj scooters would be perfect!

  24. 24. Mark | May 24th, 2006 at 10:37 pm

lol yeah but i dont want to look like i am delivering the pizza :)

i chose vespa because if you notice in the picture cool people in suits drive vespas lol

mark, tristar motorbike shop is owned by my family. I can get a discount and wastas on anything I want that is family business related. i’m sure my uncle would get u a reasonable chunk of cash off the price tag if u place a small ad for tristar on ur blog or something. I dunno, take it up with my uncle.
I said was of the ***** (shudnt be too revealing on the net, though most ppl probably know tha name anyways:P) family so he let me check out the special store room for the race edition Ducatti Bikes. Also, they place special orders on bikes like triumph and vespa etc.. they can ship it in if u cant find one in the showroom. Just send me an email or something and i’ll refer u to the right ppl…

  27. 27. FUZZ | May 24th, 2006 at 11:13 pm

Hmm.. i read it and cant seem to find my personal family name on it. Plenty of places have ducati bikes and ship triumphs and possibly vespas, but i dont have wasta there:P

  28. 28. Mark | May 25th, 2006 at 8:10 am

yeah the guys at tristar have very good customer service, but they dont budge on price!! hehehehe!! I gotta say the owner of tristar is pretty stringent about not giving discounts, but to compensate for that they have amazing service which I really like.. I was writing a review about their store, but Im gonna finish it after servicing my bike.
