What are you doing this Eid?

I had a choice between going to Dubai and getting a Tamiya CR01 crawler, wasn’t that difficult a choice. Going to spend Eid at home putting it together and hopefully spend the winter down south crawling with the other FJ Cruisers pictured below. So what are you doing this Eid?

how much would it typically cost to buy a Tamiya?

  10. jj says:

    Buy Battlefield 2 plus expansion

  11. Mark says:

.grg thats a very difficult question to answer. what kind of car are you interested in? do you want a kit or a ready built model? I bought my Tamiya Frog for around KD80 ready built and ready to race. The crawler kit i got now is KD95 but I need to buy an electronic speed controller which is at least KD20, a receiver which is around KD12 and a Servo which is another KD12. If you don’t have a radio controller thats another KD25 (but minus KD12 for the receiver since 1 comes with the controller)

  12. Mr.pedro says:

Congrats on the kit Pay good attention on the gear box good luck

  13. Kuwait says:

I’m hoping to go motorcycle riding with a group at least once in the following days.

    Anyone else interested?

Other than that… lots of social gatherings, family, friends, parties etc.

  24. Thinking of jetting off to Rio, or sailing down the Zambezi, scaling Everest or heading off chargiong rhino in the Serengete. If none of that turns out to be possible, may just stay at old faithful……al Zour and chalet…..

id rather take a 1/8 scale buggy that this, much more fun and since the season started, more than 100 racers will be on the fun race this comming week.

get a sanwa digital remote better than the normal remote

  30. pinkpage says:

aha…already planned a house party on eid and a poker nyt!

  31. Mark says:

sos: thanks but I am very happy with my Futaba AM controllers since a new receiver costs only KD10. If I go with an FM or 2.4Ghz receiver I would end up paying KD20 (FM) or KD30 (2.4ghz) for a receiver.

  32. sos says:

Yes Mark the receiver coast about 30 kd for the 2.4 but there is a lot of function in the digital remote you can`t find it in the AM remote .

  33. Mark says:

I already got one, the Futaba S3305 with metal gears

  34. Mark says:

SOS: there is no function in the remote I can’t currently get with my AM controller

  35. Franko says:

  38. Franko says:

did u install aluminum shaft ??

  39. Mark says:

yeah, first hop-up i got and glad i did cuz the stock plastic shafts look like they would twist and break easily.

I heard there was something like a 2 mile back up to get into the STUPID tiny Kuwait airport before Eid. Better to stay in Kuwait and play – even though the MOI has stated that they don’t care where the party is or who is having the party, they will bust everybody. Oh, wait….. now I get the 2 mile back ups to get the hell out of Kuwait….
