Who are Kuwait One?

I was watching Bruno Senna (late F1 champion Ayrton Senna’s nephew) racing his Mercedes SLR 722 on TV when I noticed a Kuwaiti flag on the side pillar and “Kuwait One” written on the front hood and rear bumper. I tried to google what Kuwait One was or who they were but I couldn’t find any information whatsoever. The video above isn’t of the actual race I was watching but you clearly see the Kuwaiti flag on the side pillar. Anyone know who they are? [YouTube]

Very interesting !!! All I know is this car was sold last November in the auto show exhibition which was held in Mishrif, the car owner is anonymous but he is Kuwaiti & cars collector of course.

  8. Mohammed says:

I bet you that the car owner might be Nasser al Mohammed, there is another SLR 722 GT in the showrooom.

why would Bruno Senna be racing a car with a Kuwaiti flag ? is it a loaner ?

The 722 GT on the youtube vid was on display at AUTOCITI before it went bankrupt a few weeks ago, Autociti is owned by AL DAR Investments who recently bought a large stake in Aston martin which have sponsered such races in the past, so i think that this is an older video when al dar was spending endless money on such things, as of now al dar is in debt of nearly KD 1 billion and is rumored to go bankrupt soon, so i doubt you will see the kuwiati flag anymore on the car

Autociti went bankrupt? That sucks, i never got to pass by and check it out!

Mark! AutoCiti became Aston Martin’s Showroom like 2 months ago.

I think the car is owned by Sheikh Mubarek Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, who has a big collection of cars including a black SLR, a silver Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe, a black Bugatti, and a Porsche Carrera GT among others to name a few. Can someone make sure? Thanks.

Guys this is a race car, and this race series is open to “gentlemen” racers (non-professionals). You can purchase the car in its current race configuration and its a track only car based on the SLR 722. It has nothing to do with Aston Martin or Al-Dar. This is a Mercedes Benz race series and car. I don’t know if MB will race the car against others in the GT Class with pro-racers. The car is obviously owned by a Kuwaiti and was probably on loan that day or possibly taken out for a shakedown test.

I wasn’t talking about Bruno Senna Mark. The car has a Kuwaiti flag on it care to name the pro Kuwaiti racer that owns it.

  19. Mark says:

Punky thats what the whole post is about. The car that Bruno has been driving has a Kuwaiti flag on the sides and Kuwait One written on the front and back of the car…
