eRamzi if you want in-ear headphones you need to check out the shure, Etymotic Research or ultimate ears brands. they make the best in-ear phones. prices start at around $99 for cheapest and up to $1000 for the high end.

v-moda is same rank as sony, panasonic, bose, sennheiser etc..

one word: V-moda,
although they cost a hefty 101$ they are the best in-ear headphones from all four: Sony, Bose, Sennheiser and V-moda.

Here are two reviews I have on headphones:
http://www.248am.com/mark/personal/review-akg-k81-dj/
http://www.248am.com/mark/kuwait/sennheiser-px100-review/

I also have the Bang&Olufsen A8's but they are crap
On my wish list I have the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-485-Dimensions-Headphones/dp/B0007QN18K/" rel="nofollow">Sennheiser 485's</a>
and the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-Premium-DT-990-Headphones/dp/B0002S9038" rel="nofollow">Beyerdynamic DT 990</a>

well if you want in-ear (canalphones) then Sure, Etymotic Research and Ultimate Ears make the best. I would recommend Sure from the three but thats because thats the brand I prefer although all three are pretty close in quality.

There are loads of noise-canceling headphones out there but if you have canalphones they are sound isolating which means they block out a lot of the noise around you by not letting any sound into your ear.

If you want regular headphones that have noise-canceling my advice is to do some research at the headfi.org forums

While you are there ask those audiophiles if Bose is any good.. although I wouldn't advice it since you will get a beating!

Bose is all marketing and talk but their products are average and in some cases below average. For the same price you would pay for Bose you can get some serious good shit from other less marketed brands like:

Sennheiser
Etymotic Research
Sure
Grado
Beyerdynamic
AKG
Ultimate Ears

From the list above I have
Sennheiser open-air headphones
AKG closed-air headphones
Sure canal earphones

I got Bose In-Ear headphones for my birthday, with the changeable ear buds... only problem is the buds keep falling off, so it's only a matter of time before I lose them.. But they do sound great!

I want to get noise-cancelling headphones but I always worry about being completely sealed off from the world for long periods, it freaks me out!

So which is better? Bose or Sennheiser?
