I am watching Bloodsport at the moment (old Van Damme movie) when I spotted a character that’s supposed to be an Arab called Sadiq Hossein. He looks like a tanned Asian and through out the movie no matter what he is wearing or doing he always has the gutra on his head. Its too funny.

The Khaleej is in Asia. It’s not an iffy thought/fact. It is a fact.
I’ve seen more asians with darker skin than Lebanese. So “tanned asian” comes off a bit funny…
Sometimes I wonder whether Hollywood intentionally dresses Arabs in weird clothing and gives them unidentified accents in order not to relate them to any real Arab states. Either that or they’re really stupid.
Then watch Cannonball Run 1 and 2, you gotta love Abdul Ibn-Falafel !
Hollywood in the 90′s and back always stereotyped many races, for a country where people can’t even locate California or the USA on the map I guess you can’t blame them missing up with races :)
