If you see the movie, The characters literally evolve from their previous less masculine personalities and develop sexual appeal. The addition of an African American character in addition to appeal to a broader audience, was solely to promote more interaction with the intimidating race. Had it been a hespanic character, the film would not have had as staggering of an effect on popular culture. It turns out there is a prequel to the movie called the b-team.
