Odyssey

A few months ago I posted a video of two Kuwaiti sisters (twins) with amazing voices singing the US national athem. Well I got an email a few days ago with some new info. The two sisters Sharifa and Aishya Al-Zaabi now go by the name Odyssey. Seems they are now signed up with Young Hustle Records which are based in Texas. They have four songs available online which you can listen to by following the instructions below:

1) Go to www.soundclick.com/younghustlerecords
2) Click on the music tab on the right side
3) Look for the following songs; “Love Is Gone”, “I (Don’t Know)”, “Dance For You” and “Love Is”

If you click on the video tab you can also find some videos of them performing live, I’ve attached one of their videos to this post.

update: Seems they are NOT yet signed up with Young Hustle Records, they are just friends with the label.

I don’t know which newspaper claimed they weren’t Kuwaiti, but they are indeed Kuwaiti. I know their mother and I’m sure they inherited their wonderful voices from her since she is a very talented singer with a stunning voice.

    That. Is. Awesome.

I think I saw ‘em around UAS a couple of times in elementary school, and again in ASK in highschool. They’ve got amazing onstage presence! Not to mention lovely voices! Good on them! Seriously, wish ‘em all the best.

I graduated from ASK in 2004 and these two twins graduated a year before us. One of them always sang in talent shows and stuff. Also, once, NBC Nightline or 60 Minutes did a show about Kuwait post 9/11 and one of the twins were interviews at Souq Sharq. She was asked what if the law in Kuwait would be like Saudi Arabia where women are forced to cover up. She answered by saying that her mom said that they’d pack their bags and leave the country. Sad, eh?

I giev credit where credit’s due and they deserve it.. and for those who are for some weird reason upset bythis i think you guys ought to LIVE AND LET LIVE..

On another note they are not studying on the Ministry of Education’s tab, they are there on their own..

Fantastic! Very talented and sounds pretty polished for a beginner. Kuwait needs interesting talent coming out if it like these girls. Good luck to them.

AMAZING!! These girls have very very beautiful voices. They write and sing their own songs and they perform at lots of places. I know them when i used to play basketball at other schools in Kuwait. It seems they are good at everything they do!! They are very sweet and have great hearts. People always have to say something bad because they are jelous that they cant do the same…like Sarah up there. Its sad that she has nothing better to do…eh? Anyway girls, keep up the amazing work!
