What about us?

The screenshot above is from the CNN main page. The area which I have highlighted in yellow is where they mention an Israeli woman and her grandson got killed and they have it as an important point. Yet they don’t mention the fact that over 60 people in Lebanon (including 2 Kuwaitis) have also been killed. I don’t mind CNN being biased but they shouldn’t make it that obvious…

Mark, لا أدري اذا كنت تعرف العربية .. و لكن للتو وصلني خبر أن المتحدث باسم الجيش الاسرائيلي يقول أن موت جندي اسرائيلي واحد يعادل عشرة الاف لبناني

marzouq, it is well known that israel thinks that way,
hell will break loose if they find that the kidnaped soldier were killed.
and mark, this is typical westen media, you should see what cnn’s coverage looks like. if a young, radical muslim was watching it, he would have blown something up (with himself)

the funny thing is that at least israel pretends to care about it’s people since they initiated the attacks following the abduction of just 2 people.
the arabs however kill people every fucking day as they have no respect for human life in general. they don’t even value their own lives much bc they think if they get killed they go straight to heaven.

Moey,
The number of Americans that believe A) This conflict goes back thousands of years B) Nuking the Middle East is a good idea C) All Muslims are terrorists D) George Bush is doing a Good Job is disturbing to me, as an American. If you think CNN’s bad, FOX is even worse.
Hell, when I went to Lebanon, 90% of the people I know back in the US were convinced I was going to end up on CNN. A guy from work wanted me to give an hour by hour itinerary and check in 3x a day, by phone.
Give you any better of an idea of what the US thinks about the middle east? The sad majority is about as educated about this region, as the majority of the Arabs are educated about the US.

11. KtheKuwaiti | July 15th, 2006 at 10:09 am
Frankom trasnlated:
Mark, I am not sure if you know arabic. But, the Isreali army realeased figured that the death of one Isreali soldier is worth that of 10000 Lebanese people.

I’ve seen that page on CNN last night. It got on my nervs. But now thinking about it, they probably wrote this because to Americans and Israelis CNN is pro Arabs and always agains them. So maybe they’re doing this to have some of their American and Israeli viewrs back?
13. unknown | July 15th, 2006 at 12:01 pm
KtheKuwaiti you have very good skills in translation :)
holla are you stupid? of course arab cares but they don’t have the power to protect themselves
“have no respect for human life in general” what a ignorance of you
what about moderate arab, Jewish arab and christians all they have same logic? of course not but the problem is they don’t have what israel
the funny thing that Israel is fucking weak country compared to USA and europe but the problem is with arab.

Don’t tell me you just realized that this channel is a Zionist one!!
It always been obvious before, so I’m absolutely not surprised… *shrugs*

hey unknown if you knew anything about military power you would know that israel has the worlds strongest air force, along with the england that has the top navy and the US which leads in ground combat. israel is the strongest country in the middle east by LEAPS AND BOUNDS, they can wipe out half of the peninsula within a couple of weeks using air operations
you’re just another dumb sandnigger that has no idea wtf is going on in the world. shut the fuck up and thank your lucky stars that you aren’t getting bombed.
if you want to help start changing things at home instead of yelling out the same anti-jewish BS that only served to make israel stronger.
16. Rasheed | July 15th, 2006 at 4:33 pm
I noticed the same thing with CNN’s bias. Are two Israelis now more important than 60 dead Lebanese? It’s so racist that it’s sickening…..We Arabs better get our act together, or we’re goign to be toast soon!
17. Saud | July 15th, 2006 at 11:18 pm
Obviously Mark they consider them more important because their family members watch the news. Don’t arabs live in caves with funny names like Tora Bora and Falloooja? If you want to see some real fair and balanced shit, turn off the TV.
I was prodding for a #bed reunion.
18. Marie | July 16th, 2006 at 12:22 am
For what it’s worth, National Public Radio in the US has correspondents reporting from both Lebanon and Israel, and they are reporting figures of the injured or killed on both sides.
19. Solo | July 16th, 2006 at 1:47 pm
Marie, are they broadcasting or showing pictures of charred bodies of babies who know nothing about who Hizbulla are ? Or about people who really dont give a hell about Hizbulla who have lost so many during these 5 days ?
20. zaydoun | July 16th, 2006 at 2:46 pm
Marie.. sadly NPR is only heard by educated liberals in the US. The rest of the country prefers Rush Limbaugh
I was out of Kuwait when the bombings started and I remember feeling angry but calm cos all I had was CNN coverage. When I got home and saw Al-Arabiya’s excellent detailed coverage I broke down in tears over the sad situation all over Lebanon!

“sadly NPR is only heard by educated liberals in the US. The rest of the country prefers Rush Limbaugh”
That is completely accurate.
