I travelled to Delhi with a stop in Dubai. All went well to Dubai. The plane was half empty…..new plane….great TV etc. Stewardess were good…..food was good.

Now…..goin’ back home to NJ…they held the plane in Delhi OVERNIGHT because of fog……..so we had to take a flight the next day. Now the plane was full… Because we now had 2 days worth of passengers!! We get to Dubai…………had to wait 10 hours for the flight. Yes they did put us in the Dubai Hilton. Boarded the plane then had to wait another hour while we waited for a connecting flight to arrive from who knows where. Now the plane is FULL!!

I talked to other pass. who were familiar with the airlines. They said this happened all the time. Any time the plane was 1/2 full….a problem always came up that forced the plane to be delayed until the next day….fog, wheels, engine problems etc….. Then like magic.. The Plane is now FULL! They won’t fly with a half empty plane…and will manipulate the facts.. if they can…to justify the delay.

I now go non-stop via Con. Airlines..from Newark to Delhi…jus’ 14 hours…

Yep it’s the worst because they don’t take care of their employees they treat all the foreigners who take up their jobs and reside in Dubai as infants!

Its all crap on policy statements that are made to hide behind.

I flew on 23rd from Jed-Dbx and flight took off late arriving late…so its was tiring like hell.

On 25th Feb in Daressalam, when I was checking to confirm onwards 26th connection form Dubai to Jeddah, was informed by travel agent that according to EK they are cancelling all my sector future confirmations as “apparently I have checked online on flight from Dressalam to Dubai already” this when EK never offers online check-in from Tanzania…

On 26th in Daressalam when I went to Airport after stuck in traffic for more than an hour, having Business Class confirmed booking and No Baggage with confirmed onwards connection from Dubai to Jed on 27th Feb, I was denied boarding as more than a “minute late” nd EK is very punctual…TO MY SURPRISE found next day when i checked in on 27th feb, passengers from 26th still starned at airport as plane never “took OFF”

Then again just when I was transferred from hotel to airport, a distance of 5 min, was informed on arrival at lounge that Dbx-Jed is delayed by more than 3 hrs

I could have been kept at hotel…

THIS IS EK…the socalled best airline

its deleyed to ensure the safety of the people,
for me i preffer deleyed flight to avoid accident and thats the commen since,
yes Emirate is one of the best of the world

Cannot get Emirates to post my skywards miles or even answer me. Also Late evry flight, and being a professional pilot I can tell you it won’t get any better due to not enough runways.

emirates airlines sucks. most of their stewardesses are recruits fresh off training, and the ME flights usually are the first to get them (and the economy class too, i’m guessing!). the fresh ones are easy to spot, they work like clockwork, mentally ticking off the checklist they’ve memorized, leaving the passengers to the one or two more experienced hands. i know, cos i’ve been flying them for the better part of twenty years, and have previously worked for them (not as a steward though!). i’d suggest one of the asian or european carriers anyday to emirates.

delays aren’t usually matters of which airline you use, it’s usually the airport or weather. sometimes the runway is packed and the airport is busy so they can’t depart n time.. other times it’s the weather that causes them to delay the flight. im sure there’s more reasons. but as soon as they lock the door to the airplane, it’s pretty much out of the airlines’ hands.

oh and #1 airlines is Cathay Pacific If I recall correctly.

Kuwait have had its airlines 30 years before UAE did. Even though the service might suck more than emirates, but the staff is alot more to be respected.

I love their planes, A340s from Australia to Dubai (direct flight) 15hours 35minutes.

Plus for every return ticket from and to Kuwait, I get 2 RETURN tickets KUWAIT-DUBAI-KUWAIT!!
