I agree that the fast food is dismal, but then again, why have typical fast food when you can have fresh Haloumi sandwiches and the best falafel and shawermas in the world. When it comes to fine dining, there are good places and horrible places, but at least a couple of bottles of red wine makes most food taste pretty good! And of course when it comes to lebanese mashaawi, araq makes the world a much happier place! bon appetit ! I have had great meals in Beirut many times.
