    Wouldn’t they charge you taxis if you buy a mac and export it outside the US? I thought it was mentioned somewhere at apple’s policy.

    Mishref I am buying the Mac from Amazon, the only time they take taxes is if I buy an item from one of there resellers like J&R.

    Oceanus, no idea, they gave me a ship date of July 24 but thats just for amazon to cover their ass. Their ship dates are always a lot sooner then that but when an item is not available they give u a far away deadline.

    Edjamacated, $411 is my last quarters Amazon Associates payment.. you know from the Amazon banner I have on this blog. I have a couple of sites and all together last quarter they got me 411. The quarter before that was 1200$. This quarter we are currently in its only like $100 :s

    Stallion, the black one costs 1500 which is to expensive for what i need. The low end MacBook is perfect price and great specs.

    Increase your memory to 80-100 G’s. 60 is not enough. Trust me 8) have the old Ibook and planning on changing it within a year

    i was planning on installing a 120GB drive since they are so cheap but it really would be overkill since i am not gonna have any mp3 or videos on the macbook. all that is stored on my home server..

    Hey Mark, mabrook, but I dont think it’s a good idea, i have a friend who knows someone with a MacBook Pro, and he said that the heating problem is really a big issue, he can’t even leave the ‘book on his lap. It really get’s hot.

    Wouldn’t it be better if you just waited for the summer, when they might fix this issue?

    Pat, firstly i am getting a MacBook not the Pro one. I thought about waiting for the second revision but they just updated the Pro ones now and they still have the heating issue, dont think the second revision of the macbook would fair better

    Mark, yah i want a handy laptop, where i install windows on it coz some apps that i use works only with windows ;/
    2nd .. do you think upgrading the ram & HD in kuwait cheaper than apple store?
    3rd.. is there a possibility where i can install HD with 7200 rpm ?

    dont know if vista would work, it probably should though
    upgrading ram and hd in kuwait would be a lot cheaper then the apple store. would be cheaper if u got it from ramseeker.com
    i wanted to install a 7200rpm drive but i think heat would be an issue
