Jazeera Airways to Dubai

jazeera airways

So I am about to board the plane when the guy who checks the boarding pass takes mine and scribbles over my seat number which was 6F and starts writing another seat number somewhere back in the 20s. So I was like hey how come you are changing my seat? He replied telling me they were trying to balance the plane. While doing that he shook his hand side to side as if representing the plane thats wobbling. I was like o….k….. that can’t be good. So I told the guy listen its not fair if you change my seat now, I don’t want to , he was like fine and scribbled back 6F on my pass. I found this incident very strange.

Its probably someone who has wasta that changed his seat to urs, so they were trying to move you away, so you won’t clash with him on the plane
There isn’t such a thing called balancing the plane, people move all the time in the plane

That has happened to me a couple of times in the states. With smaller planes they shift people to the back to keep the planes balanced. It also depends on the amount of luggage in the cargo.

KtheKuwaiti, you are talking about the BOSTON to NYC flights with those small planes. LOL. last passenger closes the door. it sounds weird though, i think its BS what they told you about balancing..especially a big plane like that one

Your plane is going to do doughnuts in mid air!

But its true about balancing planes, they have done to me on flights in the midwest when IM flying between cities that dont have a lot of traffic.

*Shakes Her Hands* Balance, People Balance!! .. OMG! .. Its not Balanced Yet .. We Need a 140Pounds Dude to Sit On the right .. and a 250Pounds dude to sit on the left .. So the plane Wont crash into an iceberg! YAY! WTFPWNT! .. Dude .. that was weird!! and made no sense! eh?!!

How do they open a closed plane door with no one inside ?

I say the guy was just screwing you ! these are big planes.. and shuffling passengers doesn’t do much.. it’s the cargo that matters..
but when you got on the plane.. did the passengers seem “well distributed” ?!
don’t think so.. oh well.. i don’t think you noticed anyway ! lol

first off, its not uncommon to have your seat reassigned on boarding if the aircraft is not balanced :) But the way you describe it, it sounds as if this might not have been the case and he might have wanted to allocate the foward seat to someone else: or else he wouldn’t give in that easily. you were almost ripped off your seat cause someone that knows someone that works there wanted a good seat up front, its that simple, it had nothing to do with balancing the plane

Actually, I have heard of that before. My uncle is a pilot, and they usually do this if the plane is empty and everyone is seated on one side of the plane. It is a left and right side factor…i dont think it helps if you switch people fromt he front to the rear of the plane.

whats happened to you is far less to what happened to me , the guy behide the counter insested to see my family members, whom were in the toilit, he issued the boarding pass, kept them with him and left, jazeera staff were not cooperate, i had to make several calls to the headquarter, looking for the manager all over the airport, after 35 minutes of me and my family waiting next to the counter , mr manager arrived and i found out that the boarding pass was left with one of jazeera steff.
just because jazeera sells cheap tickets , the staff thinks that travelers has no resect.
by the way, they dont have someone to complain to.
