Nice place for shopping. But was there for only 4 days ( Bangkok ). the only thing which i could do was get a decent foot message. Put up in hotel ambassador in sukhumvit. did the sky train, which was a refreshing break from the stifling traffic. Managed to buy a chinese made ( excellent quality/decent price ) vacuum tube cd player. Kids ( my young daughter & my parents & my in law ) had a great time in the fantasy land ( open air zoo / with sea lion, orang utang thai boxing, polar bear shows ). wife had fun in the shopping malls prantip plaza & platinum mall ). lots to shop in the night market ( forgot the exact place name ) & also on the sukhomvit road, which is a paradise for cheap souveniers. For classier (read pricey) shopping, try Siam Paragon.
